Very annoying species. :) They grow some very strong and hairless root which constantly pushes the tiny seedlings out of the substrate, so one is constantly busy trying to get them back in again. Which is a rather tricky process.

Origin of E.micromeris:
USA (E Arizona, W Texas along Rio Grande in New Mexico), Mexico (Coahiula, San Louis Potosi, Nuevo Leon)
Frost Tolerance: Depending on the variety, will take -12 C.
Genus Epithelantha includes only two species, E.bokei and E.micromeris. Latter has five subspecies and some varieties.
