The Lost Dogs' Home & National Pet Register attended the Whittlesea Family Day on the 15th February to offer free ID tags & microchips to pets living in the bushfire-ravaged area.
The Lost Dogs' Home's mission is: 'To serve the community and enhance the welfare of dogs and cats by alleviating animal suffering and reducing the number of lost, injured and unwanted animals.'
Established in 1910 we care for approximately 20,000 lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats each year.

My knees been bothering me but haven't forgotten about Jack's microchip. I'm
loading up on the meds hoping tomorrow will be better. Slept most of day
today because the muscle relaxers knock me out. I don't take them often just
because of that. But, the dogs are getting along great and Mr Sweety still goes
out back. He did mark the chair in kitchen but I attribute that to Cha's
marking. It really is no big deal to me. Plus, it's where Jack's food bowl goes
down so I think he marked it to let Cha know that it is his area now. I just
mopped up and sprayed with fabric freshener. Really, no big deal. If he's
going to mark then that's the perfect place since Cha did a number on it over
the yrs. Jack is warming up to me big time. Comes over on his own for rubbies
and jumps up on ottoman for a visit. He still sleeps under the table but has
also slept on area rug infront of wall unit that I recently got as present.
They had wet food this morn and finished off leftover cheeseburger tonite. Jack
has learned the routine of my girls going over to the other bowls after
finishing their own. They all lick them clean so that I don't have to rinse for
dishwasher. The crate is still in the garage which Jack marked hahaha. What a
send off, huh? Took a few pics which I hope come out. I'm determined to get
out tomorrow and will call vet. kelli
I have a microchip
Implanted in my heart
So if I try to escape
The robots will blow me apart
And my limbs will go flying
And land before the ones that I love
Who would wail and would weep
But the robots would keep them at bay
While I shut my eyes
For the very last time.
Citizens of tomorrow be forewarned.

16 May 2011. Our vet came to visit and "chipped" Groundhogg with an AVID microchip and just like that he morphed from a regular dogg into RoboDogg. I don't think he was too bothered as this was moments after the installation and he seems pretty comfortable. This is the future......

At this very moment, microchips are being inserted into butterflies during their pupa stage so they can be "guided" by remote control when they're fully grown. This "brilliant" idea comes from the whiz kids at the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); the US military's mad scientists. (More: www.t-post.se/past-issues/item/root/trust-no-one)
