Running late for a party I was hosting, emerged from the house to see this... bit disappointed I didn’t make more of it, cracker of a sky, but certainly rewards my faith in Fujifilm for colour.

The beautiful statue of the Madonna was made by Michelangelo in 1503 and is part of an altar of the Church of Our Lady in Bruges. You should look at it when you are there.

The Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (German Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden), often abbreviated HfBK Dresden or simply HfBK, is a vocational university of visual arts located in Dresden, Germany. The present institution is the product of a merger between the famous Dresden Art Academy, founded in 1764, the workplace and training ground of a number of influential European artists, and another well-established local art school, Hochschule für Werkkunst Dresden, after World War II.
One of three buildings of today’s Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, the former Royal Academy of Arts, built in 1894, is located at a prominent position in town on Brühl's Terrace just next to the Frauenkirche. Since 1991, the building built by Constantin Lipsius on Brühl's Terrace between 1887 and 1894 – the glass dome of which is also known as Lemon Squeezer due to its form – has been heavily renovated and the parts that were destroyed during World War II were reconstructed. The studios for painting/graphic arts/sculpture/other artistic media, the graphic workshops, the rector's office and the exhibition rooms of the Academy, which house the annual graduation exhibitions of the graduates, are located on Brühl's Terrace.
On the side of the building facing the Elbe, the names of Pheidias, Iktinos, Praxiteles, Polykleitos, Lysippos, Erwin von Steinbach, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and Dürer are inscribed on the wall and on the other side the motto "DEM VATERLAND ZU ZIER UND EHR" - "For the Honour and Adornment of the Fatherland" - is inscribed.

The Castello Sforzesco, held by the Visconti and the Sforza families who ruled Milan from 1277 to 1447 and from 1450 to 1535 respectively, was built in 1368 and rebuilt in 1450. The 70-meter Torre de Filarete is a 1905 reproduction of the original gate-tower.
The Castello houses the Musei del Castello Sforzesco, a series of museums, one of which features sculpture. The collection includes the Pietà Rondanini, Michelangelo's last masterpiece, brought here in 1953 from the Palazzo Rondanini in Rome [planetware.com]

La programmation hors les murs de Paris+ par Art Basel au Palais d’Iéna, qui accueille une œuvre réalisée par Daniel Buren et Michelangelo Pistoletto. Rendez-vous du 18 au 31 octobre 2023 pour découvrir gratuitement cette installation inédite dans un lieu hautement symbolique de la capitale.
Si Daniel Buren parle rarement de ses créations, ce n’est pas le cas de Michelangelo Pistoletto, intarissable sur son installation Divisione-Moltiplicazione, qu’il décrit comme « le big bang des miroirs ». Il s’agit d’un parcours décrivant la création de l’univers, une série de « livres » géants, chacun un peu plus ouvert que le précédent, laissant apparaître au milieu de miroirs son fameux symbole constitué de trois boucles, le Troisième paradis, symbole de la création.
