Poor sod- he lived a miserable life of fame.

In memory of Michael Jackson, because today would have been his birthday fifty eight. What better image than this, "Man in the mirror", nice song and best meaning. Happy Birthday King of Pop. 29/08 / 1958-2009.

En Memoria de Michael Jackson, porque hoy hubiera sido su 58 cumpleaños. Que mejor que esta imagen, "Man In the mirror", bonita canción y mejor significado. Feliz cumpleaños Rey del Pop. 29/08/1958-2009

Some may remember him as "Wacko Jacko", or "pedophile", or "the guy whose nose fell off", but I remember him as the dude that could turn into a car or robot and danced with Spike the rabbit.

Bye :(

Michael Jackson, may his soul rest in peace!

Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror

This is random and horribly processed. I textured the shit outta this because I didn't know what to do... and my Photoshop isn't working correctly and of course I don't know enough about it to fix it. Whatev. Blah.

Attempt 1: July 10, 2009

Tonight was the New Bedford Whaling City Festival, and afterwards my friends and I had a bonfire in my backyard. At one point, "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5 came on my ipod, and my friend Lemz (her name's Sarah too so we address each other by last name lol), Kate and I all danced in that weird oldschool lean wit it-rock wit it thing they used to do, in an attempt to reincarnate Michael. :S

Unfortunately our attempt was unsuccessful. But afterwards, the flames turned this INSANE purple color! I believe Michael was with us at this point, while we listened to Black and White and The Way You Make Me Feel. <333 I love summer and bonfires with good friends <3

nunca me gustó, pero..había que dibujarlo!

We Had Him

By Maya Angelou (*)

Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.

Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace. Sing our songs among the stars and walk our dances across the face of the moon.

In the instant that Michael is gone, we know nothing. No clocks can tell time. No oceans can rush our tides with the abrupt absence of our treasure.

Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.

Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him.

He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.

Despite the anguish, his life was sheathed in mother love, family love, and survived and did more than that.

He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style. We had him whether we know who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his.

We had him, beautiful, delighting our eyes.

His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.

And we laughed and stomped our feet for him.

We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing. He gave us all he had been given.

Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Black Star Square.

In Johannesburg and Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama, and Birmingham, England

We are missing Michael.

But we do know we had him, and we are the world.

Wikipedia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)[2] was an American recording artist and entertainer. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years, four of his solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995), while his 1982 Thriller is the world's best-selling record of all time.

In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and Thriller—credited for transforming the music video into an art form and a promotional tool—helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists.

One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career—more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era. Jackson's highly publicized personal life, coupled with his successful career, made him a part of popular culture for almost four decades.

Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest on June 25, 2009, aged 50.[2]
