I couldn't decide which one of these to post so I posted both.

”E.M.M.I. stands for Extraplanetary Multiform Mobile Identifier. It can procedurally modify and enhance its own capabilities.

I estimate a 99% probability of death if an E.M.M.I. captures you.

You are faced with overwhelming power. Accept your helplessness.”

Made to-scale with her sprite in Super Metroid.

"Samus Aran" from the Metroid Nintendo video game series.

Super excited about the news that a new 2D Metroid game is coming to the Switch (in October of 2021).

Metroid has been one of my favorite Nintendo franchises, and it's good to know Nintendo hasn't completely abandoned it.

Showing off some back!!

This year is Metroid's 30th anniversary, so I thought I would continue doing a few more METROID builds before I moved onto other things. Here's the first. I based this version of Kraid off of his Metroid Zero Mission design. I've never played Zero Mission, but it's Metroid, so it must be good.... right?

Since Kraid is usually portrayed as huge, I had to downsize the scale to micro. Plus I made my own logo. ^_^

EDIT 5/2015: New version here!

The heroine on Metroid Games. More on Cyclopic Bricks.

A major antagonist of the Metroid series and nemesis to Samus Aran.

I figured I'd get these rushed pictures out now rather than wait a few days because of Metroid Prime 4's delayed development announcement, and maybe help to ice some old wounds.

"Morphology: Grenchler.

Water-based reptilian predator. Well armored and deadly at any range.

The amphibious Grenchler lurks in marsh areas in search of prey. Fearless, it will spring from hiding and attack anything that moves. If it is unable to fell its prey with its powerful jaws, it will fire a potent burst of energy at them. Grenchlers have one weak spot—a genetic defect makes the shell on their back susceptible to explosive blasts."

Reference image. Made for biog's Xenozoology contest, for which I thought an alien creature from Metroid Prime 2 would fit nicely!

For best effect, listen to this while viewing.

The best Samus Aran cosplayer I have ever seen in this "Justin Bailey" costume rendition from Anime Expo 2011. This was from the original NES game back from 1986 when it was discovered that Samus was a "girl" at the end.

Metroid Series

My mom and Kodi forced me to upload these even though it's not complete yet. Part 2 will be revealed at Brickworld 2016 (hope you guys can wait another year!)

This build is based on the game Metroid Prime, one of my all-time favourite games as a kid. This is the semi-final battle with everyone's favourite asexual dragon Ridley (in metaform no less) atop the Chozo Artifact Temple that leads you to the conclusion of the game.

Thanks Imagine for violently forc- I mean encouraging me to find a way to get Meta-Ridley to stand without the transparent supports.

Also, thanks Beyond the Brick for letting me ramble on a little about it. You guys are awesome, keep up the great work!

Samus is ready for a collaborative Brickworld 2013 project with Dan Church and Casey McCoy!

Two strangers encounter one another in an otherworldy waiting room at the edge of time and space.

This build should not have taken five years to finish. But here we are, I guess.

Largely inspired by the Metroid Prime series.

Big thanks to Huw from Brickset for the photography, and the folks here on Flickr and Discord for the advice, crit and kind words on various WIP photos over the years.

A jar of cherries never went so far.

Metroid! Here are the characters!

L to R:

Zero Suit Samus: I know her hair is supposed to be in a ponytail, just couldn't find a good hairpiece.

Updated Samus: WAY better then the original. Arm under the stud is Scarlet Spider's.

Dark Samus: Least favorite. It's... meh. The helmet is cut by me, btw.

Micro Scale Ridley: Cut up cape. Leg head. Done.

A stunning Swimsuit Samus Aran in her Zero Suit from Nintendo's "Metroid" series of games at Colossalcon 2016 in Sandusky, Ohio.

Here's a little close-up of the big purple meanie himself, Meta-Ridley. Reference.

Revamped! Sturdier body, better-looking head, balanced colors and more - Loads of other pictures and inside information on Cyclopic Bricks..

Figma Samus Aran.

Had to fix the image and decided to upload a higher res version.

A pair of lovely Samus Arans from the Nintendo videogame series Metroid in her Zero Point Suit and in her "Justin Bailey" color variant

I've had this model nearly complete for months, but the recent Metroid news finally convinced me to finish it! Built in minifg scale, based on Metroid Prime.

The custom wings are big enough that they require legal paper to be printed on (getting the size of the wings right was important to me), but I love how they turned out!
