We caught Metric tonight at First Ave., and they blew me away. That Emily Haines is mesmerizing -- such a fantastic performer. And cute as a button. I loved all of her dancing and happiness!
Ten World Food Programme (WFP) trucks, with two containers each, traveled from El Fasher to Shangil Tobaya to deliver 350 metric tons of food (oil and sorghum) to the Nifasha and Shaddad camps for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The road trip took more than 8 hours due to difficult road conditions and security challenges for the convoy, which was protected by Ethiopian and Rwandan troops from the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID).

In Gelsenkirchen there is a tram section equipped with three rails to allow passage of normal gauge trams of EVAG and metric gauge trams of BOGESTRA, between Schloß Horst and Buerer Straße halts. Furthermore, these two halts have platforms at different heights: low for BOGESTRA trams and high for EVAG trams. We see here a train in the end of this double gauge section in Buerer Straße halt. This station has three tracks: a central track with high platform for Stadtbahn trains, and two side tracks with low platform for urban trams.
