So what if…
Using Co–Star as a method begins there not as belief, but as attunement. Art history has always operated through this kind of listening, even when it insists on authority. Giorgio Vasari did it in the sixteenth century, arranging lives, anecdotes, and works into a narrative of progress and genius. He heard voices in the past and decided how they should sound together. His method was not neutral; it was shaped by preference, timing, and belief. Yet it became foundational.
