I came across the Silva method through my martial arts instructor. As one of my requirements to earn my black belt in karate, I needed to attend the Silva Immersion event. Having no knowledge of what the Silva method consisted of but trusting the wisdom of my karate instructor, I attended the 4-day Immersion.

So, I was going through my contacts for once, and someone kept mentioning the "LAB process" in his PP work. I finally got back far enough, I got to a link. So I followed it and tried it. Oh! My goddess! The top image is straight from UFRAW, adjustment on the exposure and WB till I liked it again. From there, export to GIMP. The bottom image is the LAB processed one, and no other adjustments. Holy damn! I think I just found a new "regular" method to PP :-O I knew here had to be something else out there than my usual :-)
