Love is the master key that unlocks the gates of happiness, of hatred, of jealousy, and most easily of all, the gate of fear.
Oliver Wendell Holmes
I know the quote is a little bit sad but I love it as it is so true...if we never love we would never fret or worry, we wouldn't feel loss but we also would never experience the joy.
Happy Valentines Day everyone!

We, humans, are creative beings. We have ideas, we learn things and we get inspired. And every single one of us is inspired by something, no matter how different those things may be. I feel constantly inspired by the stories around me. Simple, small, seemingly insignificant moments that happen around me, every day.
Also, I think many of us get into this habit of blaming the camera time & again for the photographs that WE miss to create. Just like owning a nice, fast sports car doesn’t make you a skilled or efficient driver, merely owning a camera does not make you a photographer.
A camera doesn’t see your beautiful lover or the gorgeous sunset, or that amazing night scene lit with perfect bokeh balls. It’s merely a machine that does what it’s told to do.
When I started, I mostly shot whatever the hell I thought made a good subject. But slowly, I began learning through first-hand experiences and some reading over the internet. Eventually, I started to explore the different aspects of photography & the camera itself. It took hours and hours of practice to get things right.
There were moments that I would get frustrated for missing a perfect shot because of my settings, but my failures taught me so much more than any of my successes; a truth that remains for me not only as a photographer but as a human being as well.
I think one of the the reasons I wanted to take photos was to preserve those fleeting moments, in an effort to hold onto something that cannot be contained. Time moves on, despite all protest. I look back at photos I took just a few years ago and almost cringe, and I thought they were really good. It’s all part of the journey, to try, to fail, to learn, and to find moments of success along the way. If that’s not a metaphor for life, I don’t know what is.

Welche Variante entspricht dir?

I was unable to make it to the massive march in London, calling for a second referendum to pull the brexit decision away from the UK's paralysed politicians. So I found an excuse to shoot some stereotypical scenes of destruction that pretty much sum up how I feel about the UK right now...
