Liquid Snake, commonly referred to as Liquid, was the former squad commander of High-Tech Special Forces Unit FOXHOUND, and the twin brother of Solid Snake.
Liquid was one of the "Sons of Big Boss," created as part of the Les Enfants Terribles project, along with his clone brothers, Solid Snake and Solidus Snake. Liquid was led to believe that he was created in order to express Big Boss's recessive genetic traits, and as such, was "inferior" to Solid Snake. Because of this, he held a strong resentment towards his twin brother, who supposedly expressed "superior" genes, and wished to defeat him in combat, reclaiming what he felt was his birthright, and thus proving his superiority.
Possessing an IQ of 180, Liquid spoke seven languages fluently, including English, Spanish, French, Malay, and Arabic, the last of which he spoke like a native. His main language, English, was also spoken with an English accent of the Received Pronunciation dialect. He was almost an exact double of Solid Snake in terms of appearance, with the only distinguishable feature being his darker skin tone and fair hair color. He also had a tattoo on his left arm, which resembled the Rod of Asclepius, but with a sword in its place and with the words "Temptation Revelation."

The two domes are linked with a gear system so that if you turn one, the other turns the opposite way. It's entirely pointless (it doesn't even serve a made-up purpose), but I still like it.

Anime Detour, the social event of the season for the Minnesota anime community. Something about Detour makes people try their hardest to have fun. After 6 months of cold, snow, and no conventions, people are ready to cut loose in a big way.
This was my 5th Detour, but my first as a photographer. I haven't taken many pictures since Daisho Con, so I was worried it may take me a while to get back into the habit. Boy, was I wrong. That special something about Detour hit me hard, I found myself with my head on the floor trying to get the angles right, I woke up early after a late night of partying so I could take pictures before the hotel got crowded, and I constantly pushed myself to take more pictures and interact with more cosplayers.
I had a lot of fun, and learned a ton. I took about 1,500 photos, and after 20 or so hours of editing I have just under 300 pictures to share. Some photographers only upload their very best pictures, I try to upload at least one good picture of everyone who lets me take their photo. There were a few sets of photos that didn't work out, so a few really great costumes didn't make it into this gallery, but I'm sure one of the many great photographers who attended the convention will have a photo of anyone I missed.
As with all my convention photos, if you see yourself or someone you know, please let me know and I'd be glad to credit you in the description, send you the raw image, etc. I'm not a professional, and if my photos can help improve the convention experience in any way I'm glad to help.
#NowPlaying Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Just finished finding Chico. I know the game isn't out until Tuesday, so I won't say too much or post anymore.
With the next-gen detail, the game's aesthetics presents its characters; environments; and lighting in such an impressive fashion, fulfilling a level of quality expected from Kojima Studios.
Ground Zeroes begins by presenting me with a mission to locate and extract Chico and Paz from a prison camp. Although seemingly straight forward, the methods in which one would accomplish the mission branches out so much. Ground Zeroes presents the player with a broad approach in completing the task at hand.
Although the complexities of the controls have been modified as Snake now has an added arsenal of new actions, tools as well as a new formula for item/weapons selection, the concept can easily be grasped by those that are familiar with the weapon selections of titles such as Bioshock Infinite or Gears of War.
Several months ago, it was announced that next-gen copies of the game will be selling for $39.99. Since then, many fans of the franchise had complained about the pricing considering the evanescent length of the game, as mentioned by many game reviewers. Since then, there had been a $10.00 price drop for the next-gen copies; yet, there still remains people unsatisfied with the fact that this title is having to be sold at all.
Bottom line is that I had put in close to two hours trying to save Chico and I had such a fun time completing this mission. The fact that I can get my hands on next-gen Metal Gear title is enough to suffice my satiety until the release of the Phantom Pain.
