Metal Detecting at West Wittering

GMDC held a rally on undetected land near Hawkesbury Upton on the border of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire. One digger found a gold Edward II coin, and the land proved very productive.

Cotswolds Metal Detecting Community is a small metal detecting club established in the south Cotswolds in 2024.

Club members pay £20 to attend an organised dig and in the past year the club has raised £17,000 which is split between landowners and local charities.

The club has a very friendly vibe and welcomes people of all ages and abilities.
