Near a cemetary close to Palestine, Texas. Don't know what it was. It was in the woods and had to force our way back there.
Early Anglo-Saxon, continental series, c. 695/700-710/5, series E, 'Ashton Rowant' phase, porcupine VICO variety 3. Degenerate diademed head right, resembling porcupine. R: Standard inscribed VICO.
This beautiful ancient decorated bronze pendant was found while metal detecting during the summer of 2009.
And it's age is still undetermined possibly 17th century or earlier.
