A breakdown of my metal detecting find. Remember this is all from 1 pile found in the woods.

Rarely do I detect at night but it is January and my front lawn looked inviting.

He was metal-detecting near his house, we got to talking, and he invited me into his home to show me this collection. He was kind to give me a few old coins that he'd found. (I have a piece of paper somewhere that lists their date and provenance.)

1921 standing liberty half dollar found while metal detecting in Connecticut.

I believe this ring is very old. It is stamped 8K and I have never seen one made of 8K gold and that would explain the corrosion. Still is going to need cleaning. There are only 2 diamonds still intact with the third missing. Two out of three ain't bad. : )

Howto create a belt mounted trash bag holder.

 

Cut the bottom out of the tub and bend the hanger as shown to be the belt hanger.

 

Then you can tuck the trash bag in like a garbage can, fold the bag over and put a rubber band around to hold it in place.
