I met this huge horse on my little rural road trip the other daylight. I was taking photos of the mule across the land when he walked right up to the fence and stuck his head over the rail so I could pet him. He was such a gentle and wonderful animal. I'm going to do the trip again this fall when the leaves have turned and I plan on taking him a treat. Hopefully I will see him again. I have dubbed him Wilbur.

After sitting in the hole at Tacheeda for a local and a coal train from the Tumbler, 473 meets their final train of the day that being the counterpart manifest train 472. This was the location where CN swapped diesels for the BCRail electrics for the journey to Tumbler Ridge, hence the overhead catenary. I calculated how long 472 would take to get to the siding on the way here, I was 2 minutes off.
Tegenwoordig kunnen passagiers weer per tram onder de sporen bij Utrecht Centraal reizen. Nu is dat met lagevloertrams gebouwd in Spanje; tot 18 april 2013 kon dat met de Zwitserse SIG-trams, waarvan er eentje bewaard is gebleven.
Nowadays people can travel again by tram from the eastern to the western side of the train station and the other way around. Long time it wasn’t possible due to reconstruction of the station area.
This is a photo I took at last nights Mets game! The game was NY Mets vs. WA Nationals and the final score was 13-10 in favor of the Mets!! Such a good game!! So much fun!! We had some great seats too! Not spectacular seats, but they were nothing to sneeze at! ^_^
I'm stopping by to say hi to all of my friend here in Flickrland! I have a chance to spend a little time here in Flickrland, but I'm off for vacation on Sunday and I won't be back till next Saturday.... I should be on more often after that, but I'm still working around my computer not functioning properly still...

Ook IC 3435 werd bij het viaduct opgewacht, met een net iets andere compositie. Vervolgens brak het zonnetje mooi door en besloot ik IC 3437 in Santpoort Zuid te klikken. Ik had met de weersverwachting voor deze week eigenlijk niet meer verwacht dat het nog zou lukken om hier een zonfoto te maken, maar soms gooi je zes in plaats van één :). We zien de 7208 voorbij komen als IC van Alkmaar naar Haarlem. Het bleek later deze ochtend de laatste rit in actieve dienst van deze stam geweest te zijn.

Op 13 september werd een fotorit gereden met de 2225 bij museumstichting STAR. De locomotief was de afgelopen jaren voornamelijk in de stalling te vinden, en werd ook na de proefinzet naar Oosterhout/Moerdijk in 2023 maar weinig gezien.
Het plan werd opgevat om de STAR-lijn eens te gaan verkennen en mooie foto's te gaan maken van de loc. Er werd in meerdere samenstellingen gereden, en met in totaal 3 verschillende wagensets.
De derde stam goederenwagens bestond uit een gevarieerd setje wagens, die het grootste deel van de excursie voor hun rekening mochten nemen.
Nadat de 2225 aan de Veendam- zijde van het konvooi werd geplaatst, werd de fraai gele 2278 aan de achterzijde geplaatst. Er was voor deze loc vandaag ook een bescheiden rol weggelegd.
Kort na vertrek uit station Stadskanaal zien we de 2225 passeren met zijn goederenwagens en de 2278 achterop. Uiteraard werd hierbij de verlichting van laatstgenoemde loc ontstoken.

Newest member of the Chorney family. I brought this little cutie home from Lynchburg VA, she is a 2 month old Yorkie-poo... Such a doll, she actually fell asleep in the basket, she is so easy going, total sweetness overload. I posted a full face picture of her in the comments.
