This is a mouse eye's view of the coffee table in my boyfriend's living room. Scary, right?

Bus ride back from wine tasting

Here’s my latest image: Messier 78, a breathtaking reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. The blue hues come from starlight reflecting off cosmic dust, beautifully complemented by stunning dust lanes—dark streaks that weave through the glowing blue. It’s like a piece of cosmic art, full of striking contrast and intricate details of a star-forming region.

It’s been a year since I last processed a deep-sky image. Teaching has turned out to be more demanding than I ever anticipated, but with the school holidays finally here, I’ve had the chance to return to astronomy!

P.S. The original data was acquired from the remote astronomy platform Telescopelive, which I processed using PixInsight and Photoshop.

So we're not done putting stuff away yet or making things look nice. But, people have been bugging me to see the inside of our place. So, here it is!

The important things are there - TV, DVD shelves, and table. The table actually comes apart really easily and usually we store it away when we're not using it, to free up space. The couch cover needs to be put back on properly and those boxes need to be put away, as does all that stuff at the back. But it's coming along!

We hope to paint in a few weekends. But we probably won't paint the walls in this picture because they rise 2 storeys and we'd have to hire an expensive painter.

A messy intersection in Naganuma, Hokkaido. As you travel west, at the stoplight, you directly face a barrier and must turn in the intersection to go straight. Heading east through the same intersection is a bit easier. To make things even more fun, this is a heavily traveled intersection and has lots of pedestrians as well.
