what is that Interesting message?
Doesn't she look tensed ??I am not saying that it might not be an emergency from her nearest and dearest ones...
But most of the time we check our mobile uselessly🙏
The reason is their young parents They have made their teenage
children addicted to mobiles from the age of 6 months.
Food to bed to Play to reading.
All dependent only on mobiles.
What else will the young teenager do in-spite of being near a large ocean full of life and so much to enjoy...
Vivienne and Mirelle Part 2: The Message
Discovered three days after Mirelle disappeared. Not by accident. Not in haste. Left where only someone like Vivienne would find it—and only if she was looking.
It was a quiet evening. No appointments. No meetings. The Ravenwood’s operations ran smoothly below. But Vivienne wasn’t there.
She was upstairs—in her private residence atop the hotel, lights dimmed, gloves off, combing out her hair like she hadn’t since that night.
The hidden panel in the armrest clicked open beneath her fingers—automatic, familiar. She wasn’t reaching for anything.
And yet there it was.
A piece of silk, small and torn, tucked neatly inside. Pale cream. Familiar. Not perfumed. Not folded like a lover’s keepsake—folded like intel.
Vivienne stared at it for a moment, not touching. As if picking it up would confirm what she already knew.
It was from Mirelle.
There was a stitch along the hem. Barely visible—unless the light hit just right. A pattern Vivienne recognized. Threaded in tight: a cipher.
No encryption. No deception. Just a message.
Hand-stitched. Intimate. Final.
You never asked me to stay
I stayed anyway.
That’s on me.
I learned more than I should have.
That’s on you.
—M.
No name. No return path. No signal trace.
Just the signature—a single letter. Deliberate. Knowing. Irrevocable.
Vivienne sat back. She didn’t speak. She didn’t call Omalley. She didn’t pour a drink.
She just held the silk in one hand—light as a promise, sharp as memory—and breathed.
Then, slowly, she folded it. Once. Twice. Again.
Slid it into the same hidden compartment. Closed it.
And walked to the console.
That night, the Ravenwood played no broadcasts. No vinyl.
Just analog static—quiet, constant.
And she did leave the lights on when she went to bed.
Addendum to Part 2:
A professional assessment. A personal breach.
Hours later, Vivienne sat at her desk with the silk unfolded on the surface.
She wasn’t reading the message again—she was analyzing the stitch.
She ran it through three filters. Checked the thread’s weave density. Logged the cipher angle. All habitual. All precise.
And then she stopped.
Not because she was done.
Because she realized she was trying to turn grief into intel.
And there was no dossier in Sky Port Bury that would ever explain why she let Mirelle in.
She closed the file without saving. Walked away.
Some knowledge didn’t belong in archives.

It's blurry but it reads you are vigorous in words and action-this was my fortune and I think it's pretty accurate.

WATCH OUT!!
Annual Yearly Summary.
The year opened with the GCR’s Winter Gala. It turned out to be their last gala of 2020 and the only gala I could attend this year.
Then I went to the 30742 Charter at the Battlefield Line with Modified Hall 6989 ‘Wightwick Hall’. A day time, followed by an enjoyable evening shoot. This was the first time I had seen Wightwick since the mid 1960s, at Dai Woodhams Barry scrapyard.
In late February saw Simon (www.flickr.com/photos/captainkez/) and I once again visiting the Wolsztyn steam. It was early morning starts (up at 04:30!) due to the revised time table which saw the steam leaving in the dark at 05:34. It was a very enjoyable week, all the same.
A week after returning from Poland attended another 30742 charter, this time at the ELR. Back in steam agin after 37 years of restoration, was ex L&Y 0-6-0ST number 752, running as fictitious British Railways 51456. The restoration had originally started at KWVR and was finished at the ELR.
The winter had seen storms including Ciara, Dennis & Jorge.
By now I’m starting to become accustomed to my Nikon mirrorless Z6 camera, after years with a DSLR.
Then came COVID!
As we know the lockdown proved devastating to the TOCs, with wholesale cancellations.
When the first lockdown ended I and a few friends when to Scotland, to Beattock specifically, my first visit. 'Tornado’ didn’t disappoint as she made steady progress up the gradient.
A week later and we are in Scotland again, this time for our annual trip to Fort William for the Jacobite. This was a month earlier then previously and the weather was certainly an improvement. With several new locations visited I regarded it as a great success. That was until a few days after returning, we all found we had contracted the coronavirus.
Lockdown number 2 and the tier system brings uncertainty regarding the Christmas rail tours.
All my best wishes for the coming year, may it be prosperous, healthy and Covid free.
