"... We are ok. We can’t go out everyday so we cook many different food at home. I think maybe we‘ll be fat when the promble finish..."
This is what my charming stepdaughter Xixi wrote in an e-mail to me (we communicate in English, because her English is much better than my lousy Chinese). She also attached pictures of the tasty meals they indulge in.
Xixi gave birth to a second child in December. So my wife went to Kunming in order to assist her. She wanted to come back to Vienna on February 3, but due to the coronavirus outbreak the flight has been delayed to March 26 at the moment...
I took this picture in my parents' house during our trip to my home in 2015.
We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.

“When the field line guiding a bright auroral patch leads to a point directly above the observer, the aurora may appear as a "corona" of diverging rays, an effect of perspective.”
I felt really small with the aurora borealis straight above me, coming down towards me...!
Do you know what movie this was in? Hadley and I have watched this lots of times. It is very funny to know via Wikipedia that they messed up the clue. The first letter really shouldn't have been decoded as B.
ANSH: secret message
Tommy was warming his bare feet by the can fire this morning. Tommy is 89 years old, and he has the scars consistent with living on the street for decades. I gave him his hot chocolate (and apologized for not bringing marshmallows), and packed up to drive away. That's when I saw the flag on the ground.
I'm sure that it just ended up there by happenstance, I'm sure nobody was trying to stage a "silent protest". But if they were, I think I could understand why.

it appears the flickr bot and i are in a war about if this pic is pg or not. all my bits are covered. i think it's time for that bot to retire. sigh.
Snapped this guy on the steps at the Lincoln Memorial on a recent trip to Washington DC. Taken on Samsung NX300 with 18-200mm lens.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. A 'Fun for Friday' shot at long last. A capture that I am sure she would not be happy about and I would normally avoid posting a 'derpy' face out of respect but I love the stories that this image conjures up in the mind. Wishing you all a great weekend ahead!

As I backed away, he seemed to relax a little. His ears came forward and his eyes were less narrowed and his back not as arched. He is still marking his territory while looking me dead in the eyes. A clear message. Right after this shot he seemed to decide I was not a threat. He leisurely strolled away from the tree.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I loved the possible stories that could be read into this shot, with the posture and expression of this mobile phone user - oh and the light was just to beautiful to ignore as well.
We born
We learn in our road?
We walk
We listen
We care
We fall down
We come back
We hear
We see
We smell
We .....
We really can get the real message from you?
We then old and die
Look sad or can you see the other side is good! Just a matter of the point of view, but this is the experience we need to face in our life!
