I found this evidently sincere letter almost 10 years ago on a Manhattan sidewalk. It was in the envelope it was mailed in; the envelope had been opened, so I imagine that the recipient either threw the letter away in disgust or simply dropped it by accident. Who knows. But I really wish the fired worker had specified what he did to get fired.
[I might track down one or both of the two people involved to see whether I can get the inside story.]
These are the cutest little beads. All started as white clay pebbles. I handpainted each one with a base coat of alcohol ink then painted on the wording and pictures. Finished with a shine of liquid clay.

Messages to Convey / ことばを伝える
Day 2.
I was walking around the shopping arcade near Muroran Station. Muroran once prospered as a hub of the steel industry at the beginning of the 20th century. In the past, this shopping arcade must have been full of shops and crowded with visitors from in and around Hokkaido. However many of them are now vacant.
I passed by an optical store where a number of handwritten messages caught my eye. Some of them seemed to be written recently. Among many other vacant stores, I felt I saw a hope in these carefully written messages.
Where there are people, we may probably keep conveying messages.
Day 2 / Feb 26, 2015 in Muroran, Hokkaido, Japan
Currently there is a lot of complaining here on Flickr about accounts being deleted or not all photos being made available to everyone. Basic question is, what is 'restricted', 'moderate' or 'safe'? Everyone should check their photostream for that. I don't believe in moralists who think they have to tell adults what they may and may not see, but minors should indeed be denied certain images for their protection. You'd think it would be enough to make 'private' pictures available only to "friends" or "family", but that's probably not the case. So we should resign ourselves to marking certain photos as 'restricted' so that we can safely share them with adult, hopefully venient and like-minded friends.
Life doesn't show all the truth.
"Paintings" series.
More shots and behind the scenes on my facebook page:
There is a lot of stuff in my stream which is only dedicated to open minded people ;-)
Some of my pictures may not be shown in the original in some countries (including Germany), hence the censorship.
Any question? Feel free to send me a Flickr-Mail!
By the way, for me, "Flickr friends" should be friendly, non-homophobic people who can stand the sight of naked men ;-) My "Flickr family" consists exclusively of gay men who I either know personally or whose photos particularly appeal to me.
More about: me as communicatorof course... you are welcome to visit my profile You should have a look on my Faves too.
Tributes in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II left outside Buckingham Palace and removed to Green Park where the public have an opportunity to see them. Notes, cards etc will be collected and all flowers will be composted for use in the Royal Parks.
The last time I was here shooting Spoonies this message did not exist he is headed to the Rookery with a stick there is an assortment of birds nesting but it is primarily the spoonies.
I have noticed on a lot of the photos that I upload that they appear lighter on Flickr than they do on my computer.

write your message to the new president elect and post in this group A Message for Obama
he does have a flickr account, Barack Obama, so you never know - he might read it one day (he does after all have 2 months until he starts his new job)
The Message is about breaking though, of awareness, of new beginnings. Elements taken from both the beautiful Land around the IONS Earthrise center in Petaluma, CA, and from my dreams.
Behind the scenes of the newly opened Christmas market: this message: "Do what you love", but the secret to contentment is definitely: 'Love what you do'!
insidious

ADJECTIVE
proceeding in a gradual, subtle way, but with harmful effects.
I saw this cover displayed in the window of a toy store and "insidious" was my immediate reaction. The rainbow stripes have come to represent the LBGTQ community. I have close relatives and friends who proudly display those colors. Here's a cover that tells kids and their families that " rainbow stripes are a form of illness in kids". To me, the message that it promotes is obvious.
Marketers have tried to influence children in insidious ways before. Remember Camel Cigarette's ploy of "Cool Joe Camel" with a cigarette hanging from his mouth in order to encourage young smokers?
Do you think that I am overreacting?

After doing research at the suggestion of a couple of readers, I discovered that I had over-reacted to the cover of the book. In fact, the book promote individuality. Thank you for suggesting that I research the intent. I promise that I will NOT "judge a book by its cover" again. Mea culpa.
Here's the link to information about the book:
