Observed in a Tucson Arizona parking lot.
While grabbing some shots of the Chicago Marathon this morning, I asked this lady if I could grab a shot of her sign. She was obviously more than happy to and mentioned that she had more than a few requests to do so.... quite a timely sign, given our upcoming debate this evening and pending election.
Even if I could not read or understand this message it fascinated me as it was just left there for nobody to see. It just exists in the mere moment of making, the emotion of creation, an expression of a feeling at a certain time, and then it is left there... It reminded me of the small hands I saw once, pre-historical paintings on the rocks, deep down in caves, just left there for almost nobody to see, just with one purpose : to proof one's existence, trying to get hold of the great mystery... A sign of life, of creation that moved me deeply.
At this place, a piece of wasteland in between traffic and industry, at the outskirts of the city, nature is taking over, patiently, covering up another proof of existence...

February 22, 2013, Christchurch NZ I took a walk around the city today as it is two years ago that the devastating earthquake ruined the city and killed 185 people. Poeple were aksed to leave messages at the Gap Filler in the Pallet Pavilion.

A rejected teenage madman goes on a killing spree...
and sends his "message" to the media...
and what do they do?... they run it on every station they can...
and what do all the other media do?... they say " Oh well...
it's already out there... so let's run it too"...
Does NBC now stand for NO Broadcast Conscience?...
and are all the other media not just as guilty?
Sure the kid had problems... everyone has problems...
but now the "next" psycho who wants immortal fame
has a tried and true blueprint to follow!
We are all as guilty as he was...
we are all as self-centered as he was...
if we allow this to happen again...
to allow greed and the desire to "get attention"
to overule our need to be compassionate!... oh hell...
am I just as guilty for using this image to get this message out?
I think it's too late...
we are ALL guilty of morbid fascination...
we are glued to our screens looking for the outrageous
clip that we instantly forward to everyone we know...
the desire to be "the first" to have something no one else has...
the media are just giving us what we have asked for.

PLEASE READ JOHN 21:15 - 25
In this chapter Jesus asks Peter 3 times if he loved Him and Peter replied 3 times that he did, in verse 17 it says PETTER WAS GRIEVED BECAUSE HE SAID UNTO HIM THE THIRD TIME. In order to fully understand these verses you need to understand that though we have only one word for love the Greek had many different words for it. The conversation actually went like this “ Simon Peter do you agape me ? That is to say do you love Me completely, Peter replied Lord you know that I phileo you, that is to say “ I love you like a friend”. The second time Jesus ask him the same words were used, but the third time Jesus asked Simon do you phileo me? This is what Peter was grieved about, not that Jesus simply asked three time but that the third time He called him Simon Which is his old worldly name and not the new name Petra or Peter the rock He had given him months before, secondly Jesus said DO YOU PHILEO ME instead of do you agape Me. This conversation took place at a fellowship meal after Jesus had risen from the gave and it appears that Peter was some what embarrassed about the question Jesus had asked him and as a result he was grieved at what he had said to the Lord. This was before the day of Pentecost and Peter was not yet converted, the word says that we must be born again or we can not see the Kingdome of God.
This country is full of churches where the people phileo the Lord, people that call on Him when they need something but think of Him little other wise, like a selfish child that never calls just to say I love you.
The Lord is a loving father that desires loving children the same as we do, He desires to spend time with us and to bring us comfort and peace but so very often we go elsewhere for these thing. The Lord desires that we should trust Him in all our ways but again we place our thrust in so many other things. It is difficult to trust some one we don’t have a relationship with and it is hard to develop a relation ship with some one we don’t spend time with.
It is up to us whether we are a Petra or a Simon, whether we phileo the Lord Or we agape the Lord.
In these times I fell that the Lord is calling us to a agape relationship with Him, a tried and tested people, sheep that know his voice, the Bride Of Christ. God bless u-all and have a wonderful Sunday.
