Merapi blew its top in 2006, you can still see the dried up lava flows. The lava traveled well over a kilometer and took out several houses which still are yet to be repaired. The before and after photos are crazy.

Its considered one the most active and dangerous volcanoes in the world.

Volcan activo de forma conica y con casi 3000 metros de altura, domina el paisaje en la region de Yogyakarta y sus alrededores. No es facil de ver ya que generalmente esta cubierto por las nubes.
