Okay, so... this has nothing to do with the pic. But. Over the weekend, I came across this hilarious passage in a book called What Every Supervisor Should Know.

The book - a big, hardcover brownish thing with distinctive 1960-style graphics - was handed down to me by my father-in-law at a time in my life when (UGH) it seemed I might have no choice but to (shudder) "advance in my career." I'd just become a manager. Something I was never, ever meant to be. And my father-in-law, who's a very sweet guy, thought the book might help me through it.

It was a textbook from his own career days, moving up the ranks at the Vancouver Police Department. Originally published in 1956, it features illustrations by Al Ross, whose name I didn't recognize, but whose iconic style is (to me at least) synonymous with New Yorker cartoons of the day.

I opened the book at random and landed on the chapter titled Special Techniques, which includes advice on dealing with older workers. Under the heading "How should you advise a worker who is about to retire?" it reads:

"This may or may not be a matter of policy at your company. But one piece of advice seems well worth giving: Retirement isn't nearly so bad as most older people anticipate. According to Dr. Harry Johnson, long time director of the respected Life Extension Foundation in New York, the idea that most people crack up soon after retirement just isn't so."

v

After I got over laughing at that (and reading it aloud a second time for Mike, who'd missed the tail end of the piece on account of having started laughing at the words Harry Johnson), I moved on to the Supervisory Word Power section that concludes that part of the chapter.

It includes a definition of aging.

Are you ready?

"The chronological process in which a person grows older and during which he suffers to one degree or another from obsolescence, deterioration and atrophy."

That just cracks me up. Oh, no... wait. Cracking up comes after retirement. Riiiight. I'll hold off for now and crack up later. Just another... hmmm... no, it's not a good idea to count the years. Or, trust me, I will crack up. Now.

Our team

Medical Director, Dr. Timothy Sigman has close to 20 years of experience practicing medicine. One of the first physicians practicing PRP therapy in south Florida, he has trained and worked across the United States and has helped hundreds of patients with platelet rich plasma therapy. His extensive knowledge and expertise makes him one of the most sought physicians in the country, having treated police, military, professional and collegiate athletes. We perform PRP for orthopedic sports injuries, facial rejuvenation and PRP for hair restoration. Platelet Rich Plasma can help patients heal faster using their own healing cells contained in their blood. Orthopedic and sports injuries, facial rejuvenations and hair restoration are all possible with PRP. Our doctor can help people recover faster.

What is PRP?

Platelet rich plasma, also called as "PRP", is a procure where a patient’s blood is drawn and then spun and separated using a centrifuge, thus producing a concentration of platelets above the normal levels that would be found in the blood. Platelets are the cells that cause the clotting of our blood, but they also possess tremendous potential in enhancing the rapid healing of muscles, tendons, and ligaments in patients who may have aggravated injuries sustained during physical activity. There are many Studies that suggest that the growth factors which are released by platelets, may help improve and speed up the repairing of tissue, and accelerate the healing process by adding a higher concentration of growth factors and cytokines by creating a PRP sample.

What conditions does PRP help?

PRP therapy works best for chronic ligament and tendon sprains and strains that have not benefitted from other treatments, but we have seen tremendous progress and results in other conditions such as:

• Lumbar spine disc pain

• Rotator cuff injuries, including partial-thickness

• Shoulder pain and instability

• Tennis and golfer’s elbow

• Hamstring and hip strains

• Knee sprains and instability

• Patellofemoral syndrome and patellar tendonitis

• Ankle sprains

• Achilles tendonitis & plantar fasciitis

• Knee, hip, and other joint osteoarthritis

• Nerve entrapment syndromes, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

• (SI) joint dysfunction and pain

• Lumbar and cervical facet dysfunction and pain

Also, PRP has been shown to be effective for many cases of osteoarthritis by stimulating healing of cartilage and reducing pain and disability. which includes:

• Knee arthritis

• Hip joint arthritis

• Shoulder arthritis

• Ankle arthritis

• It has even been successfully used to treat hair loss and has regrown facial skin cells by stimulating both hair follicles and collagen producing cells as well. Some people refer to this as the vampire face lift. Whatever term you use, the success is remarkable.

Menopausal woman experiencing hot flashes, playing with her German Shepherd dog in the snow, West Virginia, USA

For women menopause and post menopause, hormonal changes play havoc with the body. Decrease in the production of estrogen leads to a lot of health issues for women. Osteoporosis, increased heart health risks, depression, risk to cancers, hot flashes are all linked to declining estrogen levels. During this time foods high in fiber and more plant based foods should be consumed. Food sources that are rich in calcium, magnesium and vitamins D and K should be included in the diet to maintain bone health.

Avoid foods containing phosphorous like aerated drinks, processed foods as they affect the integrity of the bone and lead to faster depletion of the minerals calcium and magnesium from the bones, further affecting bone health. Having foods rich in the mineral Boron is beneficial at this time. Also consume alkaline foods to prevent mineral loss.

Avoid spicy foods, hot beverages, and caffeine as they tend to trigger hot flashes. Instead try for cooler beverages like homemade iced tea, coconut water.

Weight bearing exercises are important too. Maintaining optimal diet and weight is very vital as hormonal imbalances tend to make it easier to gain weight, mainly around the middle. Healthy diet and physical activity not only helps lower cholesterol and lose weight but also reduces risks of breast cancer. Prior to passage of the1906 Pure Food and Drugs Act, many of the “patent medicines” on the market were dangerously addictive, containing, among other ingredients, alcohol and opiates. Many were marketed to women specifically, to treat issues associated with menstruation, menopause and “nervous exhaustion.” The passage of the 1906 law did not put an end to these gendered marketing practices, but it did require labeling to identify the presence and quantity of 11 dangerous ingredients.

Physical Activity and Cancer

www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/prevention/physical...

What is the relationship between physical activity and breast cancer risk?

The relationship between physical activity and breast cancer incidence has been extensively studied, with over 60 studies published in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Most studies indicate that physically active women have a lower risk of developing breast cancer than inactive women; however, the amount of risk reduction achieved through physical activity varies widely (between 20 to 80 percent). Although most evidence suggests that physical activity reduces breast cancer risk in both premenopausal and postmenopausal women, high levels of moderate and vigorous physical activity during adolescence may be especially protective. Although a lifetime of regular, vigorous activity is thought to be of greatest benefit, women who increase their physical activity after menopause may also experience a reduced risk compared with inactive women. A number of studies also suggest that the effect of physical activity may be different across levels of BMI, with the greatest benefit seen in women in the normal weight range (generally a BMI under 25 kg/m-squared) in some studies. Existing evidence shows a decreasing risk of breast cancer as the frequency and duration of physical activity increase. Most studies suggest that 30 to 60 minutes per day of moderate- to high-intensity physical activity is associated with a reduction in breast cancer risk.

Researchers have proposed several biological mechanisms to explain the relationship between physical activity and breast cancer development. Physical activity may prevent tumor development by lowering hormone levels, particularly in premenopausal women; lowering levels of insulin and insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I), improving the immune response; and assisting with weight maintenance to avoid a high body mass and excess body fat.

Vaginal dryness or loss of lubrication is a common but treatable issue and can happen at any age. Vaginal dryness can have physical or psychological causes.

It is often closely tied to levels of the hormone estrogen, which changes at various life stages. The hormone estrogen helps keep the vagina moist and maintain the thickness of the vaginal lining.

Atrophic vaginitis (vulvovaginal atrophy) is a common condition that can occur when the ovaries produce a decreased amount of estrogen, which includes the prominent symptom of vaginal dryness.

Symptoms of vaginal dryness

Women may have vaginal dryness if she:

feels soreness or itching in and around her vagina

feels pain or discomfort during intercourse

needs to pee more often than usual

keep getting urinary tract infections (UTIs)

These things may make her feel less confident and not want to have sex.

Causes of vaginal dryness

A woman can get vaginal dryness if she:

is not aroused during sex

is going through menopause

is breastfeeding

taking contraceptive pills or antidepressants

had her womb removed (a hysterectomy)

has taken cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy

uses perfumed soaps, washes, or douches in and around her vagina

have an underlying condition, such as diabetes or Sjögren's syndrome

These things can cause a change in the hormonal levels and thus negatively affect vaginal discharge thus causing dryness.

How to treat vaginal dryness yourself using wellness products

One can try and resolve this issue oneself easily by using safe and Natural products available in the marketplace.

In a 2013 study, lubricant use was associated with higher sexual pleasure and satisfaction ratings in both solo masturbation and partnered sexual activities. More than 9 out of 10 women in the study agreed or strongly agreed that lube made sex feel “more comfortable,” “more pleasurable,” and simply “better” (9).

Use water-based lubricant gel before sex

Use only Safe products that are made with Natural actives and Ingredients

Use vaginal lubricants & moisturizers regularly to keep the vagina moisturized & also act as stimulants

Use unperfumed soaps and washes around the vagina

Try to enjoy more foreplay so you feel more aroused during sex

One should not do the following:

Do not use perfumed soaps, washes, and any douches in and around your vagina

Do not put general oil-based body creams or lotions or petroleum jelly, as it can cause an infection

Do not use moisturizers that are not meant for the vagina

Commercial Lubricants:

Commercial lubricants for women are safe for most people.

However, as with any healthcare product, they present some risks, including:

allergic reactions

skin irritation

yeast infections

interfering with fertility

drying up quickly, requiring frequent reapplication

It may be a risk to use these products without proper understanding or knowledge regarding the ingredients used in them. One must use products that claim to be Natural & Safe, Non-Carcinogenic, Hypoallergenic, Sulphate, and Paraben Free.

Vigini Lubricating Stimulating Gel is made with the best quality Natural actives & ingredients after thorough research of the most effective ingredients that promise excellent satisfactory results.

Vigini Lubricating Gel is Natural & Safe, Non-Carcinogenic, Hypoallergenic, Sulphate, and Paraben Free and can be ordered online thru all e-commerce portals. These come in discreet packaging to safeguard the interests of their customers.

Discovered in the vacation apartment we rented in San Francisco. There were no copyright dates on them, but I'm guessing 1950s.

I spent the week working on the one in the bottom right: How to Gain Weight and Add Inches

The short-finned pilot whale (Globicephala macrorhynchus) is one of the two species of cetaceans in the genus Globicephala. It is part of the oceanic dolphin family (Delphinidae), though its behaviour is closer to that of the larger whales.

Short-finned pilot whales can be confused with their relatives the long-finned pilot whales, but there are various differences. As their names indicate, their flippers are shorter than those of the long-finned pilot whale, with a gentler curve on the edge. They have fewer teeth than the long-finned pilot whale, with 14 to 18 on each jaw. Short-finned pilot whales are black or dark grey with a grey or white cape. They have grey or almost white patches on their bellies and throats and a grey or white stripe which goes diagonally upwards from behind each eye.

Adult males may have a number of scars on their bodies. Their heads are bulbous and this can become more defined in older males. Their dorsal fins vary in shape depending on how old the whale is and whether it is male or female. They have flukes with sharply pointed tips, a distinct notch in the middle and concave edges. They tend to be quite slender when they are young, becoming more stocky as they get older.

The short-finned whale has a stocky body, a bulbous forehead, no prominent beak, long flippers sharply pointed at the tip, black or dark grey color, and the dorsal fin set forward on body. The flukes are raised before a deep dive; they may float motionless at the surface, frequently are seen in very large groups, prefer deep water, and may be approached. Their diets are composed of fish, squid, and octopus.

Adults males are about 5.5 meters (18 ft) in length, whereas adult females only reach about 3.7 meters (12 ft) in length. Adults can weigh from 1,000 to 3,000 kg (2200-6600 lbs) (1,000-3,000 kg). When they are born, short-finned pilot whales are about 1.4–1.9 m (4 ft 7 in–6 ft 3 in) long and weigh about 60 kg (130 lb). Males live nearly 45 years, whereas females can live up to 60 years and go through menopause.

How is AMH Test Helpful in Predicting Ovarin Reserve?

This test measures the level of anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) in the blood. AMH is made in the reproductive tissues of both males and females. The role of AMH and whether levels are normal depend on your age and gender.

AMH plays an important role in the development of sex organs in an unborn baby. During the first weeks of pregnancy, a baby will start developing reproductive organs. The baby will already have the genes to become either a male (XY genes) or a female (XX genes).

What is it used for?

An AMH test is often used to check a woman's ability to produce eggs that can be fertilized for pregnancy. A woman's ovaries can make thousands of eggs during her childbearing years. The number declines as a woman gets older. AMH levels help show how many potential egg cells a woman has left. This is known as the ovarian reserve.

If a woman's ovarian reserve is high, she may have a better chance of getting pregnant. She may also be able to wait months or years before trying to get pregnant. If the ovarian reserve is low, it may mean a woman will have trouble getting pregnant, and should not delay very long before trying to have a baby.

AMH tests may also be used to:

Predict the start of menopause, a time in a woman's life when her menstrual periods have stopped and she can't become pregnant anymore. It usually starts when a woman is around 50 years old.

Leaking of any form sucks. It is a common problem that many people face and is not just a little pesky nuisance that’ll go away if you ignore it. Ignoring urinary leakage may actually lead to more complicated issues in the future, making it harder to manage. Severity of urinary incontinence ranges between a small leak when you sneeze, jump, or cough to sudden uncontrollable urges to urinate that its difficult to make it to the bathroom in time.

Many fitness and health gurus will most likely recommend kegels or exercises that seek to contract or tighten the pelvic floor. However, it isn’t always an issue with your bladder muscles or pelvic floor muscles. Yes, they may be affected or may be presenting the more noticeable symptoms, but more often than not, urinary incontinence is a whole body issue.

What is Urinary Incontinence?

Urinary incontinence is a loss of bladder control that affects people in different ways. The most common types of urinary incontinence include stress incontinence and urge incontinence – an overactive bladder. Incontinence is likely to affect approximately twice as many women as men. This most often due to pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. Pregnancy stresses and strains the muscles in the pelvic region which may often lead to stress incontinence. However, urinary leakage is not a normal or natural part of aging and is often a sign of an imbalance in the body.

Leaking Bladder

If you are suffering from urinary leakage the chances are that this issue is part of a whole body imbalance. No need to freak out! A whole body imbalance merely means that incontinence is not about your pelvic floor alone. It is about the container that your pelvic floor lives in. Your body. Treating the pelvic floor alone is symptom-targeted rather than root issue focused.

Isolating symptoms can be unhelpful is truly finding and fighting the source of the imbalance. Often, the symptoms we notice did not originate in the affected area. Just like a foot injury may eventually lead to leg, hip, butt, and back pain, urinary incontinence can be a symptom that did not originate in the pelvic floor.

What are the Types of Urinary Incontinence?

The common types of incontinence include:

Stress incontinence — More common in pregnant people or those who delivered vaginally. May be triggered by coughing, laughing, bending, lifting, jumping, or sneezing.

Urge incontinence — More often an issue with aging and characterized by increased urinary frequency and urgency (overactive bladder)

Overflow incontinence — Overflow incontinence is characterized by dribbling urine, increased frequency of urination, and inability or feeling of incompleteness after urinating.

Mixed incontinence — It is possible to experience a combination of the symptoms and types mentioned above.

Symptoms of Urinary Incontinence

Some of the most common symptoms of bladder incontinence are:

Leaking urine during exercise, lifting, bending, or other daily activities

Sudden and strong oncoming urge to urinate

Urinating without warning or feeling of urgency

Urinating in your sleep

Difficulty holding urine or making it to the restroom in time

Recurrent urinary tract infections

Why is My Bladder Leaking all of a Sudden?

Urinary incontinence appears under various circumstances. However, it is not always a sign of something severely wrong. Often, the case may be related to changes your body undergoes during or post pregnancy or imbalances in your body. Some of the more common causes include:

Pregnancy: Hormonal shifts and imbalances as well as your child adding pressure to your bladder muscles and organ may lead to incontinence.

Childbirth: A vaginal delivery may weaken the bladder muscles required to control urination as well as lead to other issues such as pelvic organ prolapse, which often exhibit symptoms of urinary incontinence.

Aging: Although incontinence is not a normal part of aging, the muscles may become weaker with age and bladder contractions may become more frequent as you get older.

Menopause: During menopause, your body undergoes a lot of hormonal and physical changes. These changes may aggravate incontinence.

Hysterectomy: A woman’s uterus and bladder depend on many of the same muscles, ligaments, and structures for support. Any surgical procedure that may involve or compromise a woman’s reproductive system may damage the pelvic floor and supporting muscles which can lead to incontinence

Enlarged prostate: In men, an enlarged prostate can lead to male incontinence

How Do You Treat Leaking Urine?

Most often, surgical or medical procedures are unnecessary for treating urinary incontinence. Exercise and movement treatments have helped many people find relief from urinary leakage and regain bladder control. Below are a few exercises I teach in my program to help control flow of urine.

Supported Slight Backbend Pelvic Stretch:

This is a fantastic pelvic stretcher. Using a pillow or bolster of some kind, gently lower your back to rest on top of the pillow. Once in position, slowly bring your feet together so the soles of your feet are touching. Keep your knees bent, but gently allow them to open sideways. If you feel any discomfort at all in your back or inner thighs, you can use pillows for further support or get rid of the bolster. Relax after 30 seconds or more (roughly 15 to 20 breaths)

Supported Pelvic Squat:

This stretch is an incredible hip and pelvis stretch. Grab a low stool or a stack of books and with your feet spread wide and toes pointed out sideways, gradually extend your buttocks and lower yourself to the blocks. If you are struggling to balance yourself, it may be helpful to use a wall for back support. It is important that if you experience any discomfort during these stretches that you reposition yourself until you can firmly plant your feet and bend without pain. Stay in a squatted position for close to 30 seconds (5-10 deep breaths), stand back up, relax, and repeat several times. Please note, that for some people with prolapse – a deep squat can really irritate and aggravate things due to bearing down, so be sure to only do this one if you feel comfortable that you are not bearing down in a low squat.

Seated Side Bend:

Sit comfortably. Possibly on a block or some pillows. Hold a yoga strap or belt overhead. Bend your elbows slightly to take the stress off of your neck and shoulders. Exhale, blow candles, tighten your core and side bend right and then exhale to go left. Your core should not bulge, brace or push out as you do these. These are great for upper body mobility, torso length and strength and are a great way to work your core without strain.

The most beautiful women in TV and Movie History now become Barbie Collector Dolls created by acclaimed re-paint Artist Donna Brinkley.

Beauty, grace, class and an effervescent personality, is it any wonder why Cheryl Ladd remains one of Hollywood’s favorites. Cheryl has come a long way from her days as one of Charlie’s Angels. From television to movies, Broadway and now author for Cheryl Ladd, the best is yet to come.

Ladd is known as one of Hollywood's most talented stars and beauty queens, born Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor in Huron, South Dakota. Cheryl's parents were of German descent, the second daughter of Dolores, a waitress, and Marion Stoppelmoor (1929–2001), a railroad engineer. She married fellow actor David Ladd, with whom she had a daughter, Jordan. She took his surname as her own, which she kept after their divorce. She has been married to music producer Bryan Russell since 1981, and has a stepdaughter, Lindsay Russell.

Ladd initially came to Hollywood in 1970 to begin a career in music (she was known as Cherie Moor when she was the singing voice of Melody on Hanna-Barbera's Josie and the Pussycats animated series). She soon began to land non-singing roles in commercials and episodic television - including guest appearances on shows such as The Rookies, The Partridge Family and Happy Days. The Charlie's Angels series made her an overnight star, and Ladd took the opportunity of her sudden popularity to further pursue her musical interests, guest-starring in musical-comedy variety series and her own TV specials, performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl XIV in January 1980, and releasing three albums, enjoying a Top 40 Hot 100 single and a Gold record. In September 2000, Ladd starred on Broadway, taking over the title role from Bernadette Peters in a revival of Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun. She played the role until January 2001, when Reba McEntire took over.

Following Charlie's Angels, Ladd remained a familiar face on television and has starred in more than 30 made for television films, including a coveted role as Grace Kelly, the Philadelphia heiress who became a Hollywood glamour girl and then a European princess, in a biopic that was begun shortly before Kelly's death. She also starred in some of TV's top rated movie's and was voted time and time again as one of Hollywood's most beloved stars with such movies as: Kentucky Woman, Deadly Care, A Death In California, Romance On The Orient Express, Jekyll and Hyde (A Love Story), Crossings, Bluegrass, Changes, Locked Up: A Mother's Rage, The Fulfillment of Mary Gray, Crash: The Mystery of Flight 1501, Broken Promises: Taking Emily Back, Dancing With Danger, Every Mother's Worst Fear, plus feature films such as Now and Forever, Purple Hearts, Millennium, Poison Ivy (featuring Drew Barrymore, who later starred in the film adaptations of Charlie's Angels) and Permanent Midnight. Ladd had the lead role in the television series One West Waikiki (1994–96), and made guest appearances in other TV shows such as Charmed, Hope and Faith and CSI: Miami. From 2003 until the show's cancellation in 2008, Ladd played Jillian Deline, the wife of the lead character Ed Deline (James Caan), in 28 episodes of the television drama Las Vegas.

While still on the series Charlie's Angels, Ladd developed and starred in the ABC telefilm, When She Was Bad (also starring Robert Urich), which dealt with the harsh realities of child abuse. At that time, no one was saying anything about this horrific epidemic going on in our country, says Ladd, an ambassador for Childhelp USA - one of the largest national, non-profit organization dedicated to research, prevention and treatment of child abuse. I wanted to bring this issue to the forefront of people's minds. During her spare moments between projects, Ladd is a tireless humanitarian. In addition to being awarded the Woman of the World Award from Childhelp USA in 1987, Ladd also had the honor of becoming the first woman to receive the prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey Humanitarian Award by the Washington D.C. Touchdown Club for her continuing philanthropic endeavors. She also speaks out on her being a Born-Again Christian and her Faith in Jesus Christ whenever she can.

In 1996, Ladd published a children's book, The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship. In 2005, she published Token Chick: A Woman’s Guide to Golfing With the Boys, an autobiographical book which focused on her love of golf. For several years, Ladd hosted a golf tournament sponsored by Buick.

On April 17, 2010, Ladd, along with her co-angel, Jaclyn Smith, accepted the 2010 TV Land Pop Culture Award; for Charlie's Angels.

In 2010, Ladd filmed a TV movie titled Love's Everlasting Courage for the Hallmark Channel, which aired on October 1, 2011. That same month, she guest starred on NCIS in the show's ninth season episode Thirst as the love interest of medical examiner Dr. Donald Ducky Mallard. In December 2011, she guest starred in an episode of Chuck, playing Sarah Walker's mother, in the shows 8th episode of season five.

Currently Ladd is appearing in national 30-second spots for an educational campaign for women about the importance of seeing a doctor at the on set of menopause. Over the last thee years, research suggests a nearly 30% drop in the number of women who have visited their doctors due to Menopausal issues. Launched by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Ladd is the figurehead of this awareness initiative, hoping to drive women to a new online resource, www.talkingtoyourdoctor.com .

An avid golfer, Ladd plays whenever time allows sporting a respectable index of 14. When she's not on the golf course, Ladd keeps herself busy developing new projects and has also written a children’s book with her husband of over twenty years, Brian Russell. The book, The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship, teaches the value of good citizenship, and championship.

Ladd's focus, however, remains on her acting. I think it would be great fun to do a sitcom, she says, I'm one of those actors who is always looking to the next challenge.

What are Testosterone Injections?

Problems like lethargy, feeling depressed or weak, or experiencing erectile dysfunction are problems difficult to share with a doctor, but they are hard to live with. Why wait? Hormone replacement therapy for men, under the direct supervision of a licensed medical doctor, is a safe, effective way to address weight gain, depression, osteoporosis, anemia or the other conditions that low testosterone can cause.

A Low T count may indicate an androgen deficiency. This is known as andropause, a form of male menopause. This condition has been known to cause a low sex drive, erectile dysfunction or signs of early osteoporosis, depression, sleeplessness, fatigue, and other conditions.

Today, hundreds of men have said “No” to feeling ashamed, and “Yes” to fighting back. Working with Dr. Mikhail Berman, a hormone replacement specialist, they have recovered their youthful vigor and are facing the future with optimism and more important, optimal health.

Men may feel pressure to “live with,” these issues, even if it minimizes their quality of life. They might not seek medical help. However, it can be risky not to. As we age, our bodily systems can lose up to 60% of their normal functions before symptoms present themselves. That’s HUGE. And, it proves how important it is to treat a condition like low testosterone with hormone therapy before symptoms get the best of us.

How Do Testosterone Injections Work?

Before you can receive testosterone injections you will need to have your hormone levels tested. Dr. Berman will assist you in ordering lab tests that will give you a comprehensive picture of your hormone health. The test must include, at a minimum, the measurement of “free” testosterone, sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), thyroid function, the levels of thyroid hormones, estrogen, estradiol, progesterone, prolactin, PSA , Complete Blood Count and Comprehensive Metabolic Profile.

The most comprehensive test is best when assessing whether you have levels of testosterone that are simply below normal, or significant levels that would benefit from testosterone therapy. The basic standard for “low” is anything below 245 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL). However, Dr. Berman will take your overall health profile into account and may determine that your normal range is slightly different.

Basic factors such as your body mass index, patterns of weight gain, your height vs weight, areas of fatty tissue, sleep patterns and eating habits can all influence your t levels. These are all clues that can make up a final determination whether Dr. Berman’s low testosterone treatment would benefit you.

When above a single number of fasting glucose, you are diagnosed as being diabetic. The line drawn is very clear. Hormones don’t work that way. With testosterone especially, doctors work within recommendations made by the Endocrine Society about who would benefit from replacement therapy. While these are accepted standards, hormones, and the endocrine system are complex and interacting very differently in each person. It takes a qualified physician, like Dr. Berman with experience in hormone imbalances to help you make the right decision.

What are the Benefits of Testosterone Injections with Dr. Berman?

We want to explain the benefits of the care that Dr. Berman provides, as a licensed medical doctor that specializes in hormone replacement. We are making this personal to Dr. Berman and his patients.

Your tissues, muscles, organs and circulatory and digestive systems only function at their peak if the correct hormonal balance exists. The medical community agrees that biological and biochemical functions in our bodies have a cause and effect relationship with hormones. Neither can live without the other working efficiently. Sadly, hormonal imbalance is too often overlooked as a potential culprit for a significant number of health concerns.

Dr. Berman is a hormone replacement specialist that has witnessed first hand the successful results of small amounts of hormone replacement for men. He has seen rejuvenation and renewal as men have regained their energy, strength, ability to have great sex, and more. These men had previously thought that fatigue, irritability, insomnia, weight gain, gynecomastia, and erectile dysfunction were all part of the aging process that they would have to accept. Not true!

For some, hormone replacement with testosterone injections helps them return to the younger, more vibrant self they remember. For others, it’s a completely new freedom from conditions they have long suffered from but never knew hormone imbalances could cause. They weigh less, eat better, sleep better, and they have a tremendous positive energy they never thought was possible.

Hormone replacement for men is not something to be decided without serious thought and reliable information. Dr. Berman is a great resource, an expert in the field with over 30 years as a medical practitioner. He can help you make a decision that is right for you.

Schedule an Appointment with Dr. Berman

Dr. Berman believes in testosterone replacement therapy using testosterone injections because it gives you both complete control of the process. He will train you to administer small doses in the privacy of your own home, which is much easier than it sounds. Injections allow for more precise doses, designed to suit your specific and unique hormone profile, especially your levels that are deficient. Dr. Berman closely monitors your progress through regular visits. He will keep a close eye on your hormone levels, sleep cycles, your red blood cells, PSA and more.

Patients undergoing this therapy report that their interest in sex has returned, and that their episodes of erectile dysfunction are no longer a problem. They wake up in the morning energized and feeling capable of physical activity, such as exercise, sports, and hobbies. Those that participate in weight resistance training report even higher degrees of fitness and in some cases, weight loss.

Dr. Berman is also trained to keep an eye on symptoms of your dose being slightly too high. One should never experience extreme insomnia, tremors, or excessive irritability.

However, with the exact amount of hormone replacement patients can experience improvements they never imagined, including a happy, healthy life of eating and weighing less, participating fully in physical activities and sleeping soundly at night.

John Humphrey Noyes (September 3, 1811 – April 13, 1886) was an American utopian socialist. He founded the Oneida Community in 1848. He coined the term "free love".

Noyes was born in Brattleboro, Vermont to John Noyes, an agnostic teacher, businessman, and member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Polly Hayes.

It was in his second year at Yale that he made his first theological discovery. He was trying to determine the date of the second coming of Christ, and determined it had already occurred. His conclusion was that Christ’s second coming had taken place in 70 A.D., and that “mankind was now living in a new age.” With this in mind he became increasingly concerned with salvation from sin and with perfection. He began to argue with his colleagues that unless man was truly free of sin, then Christianity was a lie, and that only those who were perfect and free of sin were true Christians. This internal religious crisis brought about a religious conversion within Noyes. From there he began to proclaim that he “did not sin.” The idea of Perfectionism—that it was possible to be free of sin in this lifetime—caused his friends to think him unbalanced, and he began to be called a heretic by his own professors. From the moment of his conversion Noyes maintained that, because he had surrendered his will to God, everything he chose to do was perfect because his choices “came from a perfect heart”. His theory centered around the idea that the fact that man had an independent will was because of God, and that this independent will came from God, therefore rendering it divine. The only way to control mankind’s will was with spiritual direction. And Noyes proclaimed “it was impossible for the Church to compel man to obey the law of God, and to send him to eternal damnation for his failure to do so.” Noyes claimed “his new relationship to God canceled out his obligation to obey traditional moral standards or the normal laws of society.” As a result Noyes started acting on impulses from his intuition rather than giving thought to the actions or consequences. On February 20, 1834, he declared himself perfect and free from sin. This declaration caused an outrage at his college, and his newly-earned license to preach was revoked.

Upon his expulsion from Yale and the revocation of his ministerial license, he returned to Putney, Vermont, where he continued to preach, declaring, "I took away their license to sin and they go on sinning; they have taken away my license to preach but I shall go on preaching". At this time his Putney community began to take shape. It started in 1836 as the Putney Bible School and became a formal communal organization in 1844, practicing complex marriage, male continence, and striving for Perfection.

In 1847, Noyes (who had legally married Harriet Holton in 1838) was arrested for adultery. Upon receiving word that arrest warrants had been issued for several of his loyal followers, the group left Vermont for Oneida, New York, where Noyes knew some friendly Perfectionists with land. They made the decision to settle there, and built their first communal dwelling in 1848.

The Oneida Community, as it came to be known, survived until 1881. It grew to have a membership of over 300, with branch communities in Brooklyn, New York; Wallingford, Connecticut; Newark, New Jersey; Cambridge, Vermont; and Putney, Vermont. The Community had many successful industries. They manufactured animal traps and silk thread, and raised and canned fruits and vegetables. Smaller industries included the manufacture of leather travel bags and palm-leaf hats. Their most successful trade, however, was that of silverware.

In June 1879, one of Noyes' most loyal followers alerted him that he was about to be arrested for statutory rape. In the middle of the night, he fled Oneida for Ontario, Canada, where the Community had a factory. In August, he wrote back to the Community, stating that it was time to abandon the practice of complex marriage and live in a more traditional manner. The Community formally dissolved and converted to a joint stock company on January 1, 1881. Although Noyes never returned to the United States, he remained a powerful influence over many of his followers.

In the early decades of the 20th century, Noyes' son Pierrepont consolidated the Community's industries and focused solely on silverware production. The company became known as Oneida Limited and was the largest producer of flatware in the world for much of the 20th century. The Community's second communal dwelling, the 93,000-square-foot (8,600 m2) brick "mansion house", survives today as a multi-use facility encompassing a museum, apartments, dormitory housing, guest rooms, and meeting and banquet facilities.

In Complex Marriage, every man was married to every woman and vice versa. This practice was to stay only within the community and had to stay within two main guidelines. The first was that before the man and woman could cohabit, they had to obtain each other's consent through a third person or persons. Secondly, no two people could have exclusive attachment with each other because it would be selfish and idolatrous. Any two people found in any such situation would be separated and not allowed to see each other for a certain length of time.

Another teaching practiced at the Oneida Community was that of "Male Continence," which was a type of birth control. In the practice of Male Continence, "a couple would engage in sexual congress without the man ever ejaculating, either during intercourse or after withdrawal." Noyes justified this practice because his wife Harriet in the first six years of their marriage had five difficult childbirths, four of which were premature and resulted in the deaths of the children. Noyes came to the conclusion that where an unwanted pregnancy occurred, there was a waste of the man's seed and that it was no different in practice to masturbation.

Another teaching practiced along these same lines was that of "Ascending Fellowship." Ascending Fellowship was set up to properly introduce the virgins into Complex Marriage. This practice also worked to prevent the young members from falling in love with each other and from limiting their range of affection to just the younger members. The main people picked to care for the virgins were people who were considered to be closer to God. These people were of course older and had a special title which was that of Central Member. These Central Members were allowed their pick of a partner over which they would have the responsibility of spiritual guidance. It usually worked that the male Central Member would pick any female virgin of his choice. Due to her lower order, she was compelled to accept. In the case of the female Central Member, they were usually past the age of menopause, and when they chose their male virgin, they were obligated to honor the request. The reason women past menopause were chosen was so that as they taught the younger men Male Continence, they would not have to worry about unwanted pregnancies.

The forth major teaching practiced was that of "Mutual Criticism." Mutual Criticism was established to assure the integrity of the community by conformity to Noyes' morality. The way in which Mutual Criticism worked was that a member, under communal control, was subjected to criticisms of either a committee or the whole community. The criticisms were usually directed toward the "member's bad traits (those thoughts or acts that detracted from family unity), and an individual could be put through a shameful, humiliating experience." Only Noyes himself would not go through this unless he decided to, because he felt that a group should not criticize their leader.

Magical Attributes:

Solomon's Seal aids one in making difficult decisions and accepting and seeking change. Helps in spell work to aid changing/breaking habits and helps in smooth transitions for changes beyond our control. It is also used in love potions to amplify commitment between partners and to "seal" a spell or a sacred oath or promise.

An infusion of Solomon's Seal, or incense made of Solomon's Seal root can both be used to drive away negative vibrations and malicious spirits. It can also be used to summon helpful spirits and elementals.

The root can be carried as an amulet to ward off malicious spirits and to increase wisdom.

Solomon's Seal is appropriate for use during Autumn Equinox rituals.

Although this plant is not……… Currently……. listed as endangered, the usual warnings about responsible wild crafting apply.

(I fine them to be very rare and I don’t harvest them except to propagate)

Young shoots harvested in early spring can be prepared and eaten like asparagus.

The roots should be boiled with three changes of water before being roasted and eaten.

All parts of the adult plant, especially the berries are poisonous and should not be consumed.

Solomon's Seal is named for King Solomon of Hebrew lore who was granted great wisdom by the Hebrew God and had a special seal that aided him in his magical workings, allowing him to command demons without coming to harm.

According to herbal lore, King Solomon himself placed his seal upon this plant when he recognized its great value. Those with imagination can see the seal on the root stock in the circular scars left by the stem after it dies back.

Solomon's Seal has also been traditional used to "seal" wounds.

You can estimate the plant's age by examining the rhizome. Each year the stem leaves on scar, or "seal" on the rhizome. Counting these will give you an idea of how long your plant has been alive.

Some areas list Solomon's Seal as an invasive weed.

Because this plant is so easy to grow in a shady garden bed, wild crafting is usually not necessary.

Gather the rhizomes in the fall and lay on a screen to dry in a warm, dry location with good circulation free from humidity and sunlight. Once dry, store in a cool location away from light.

Healing Attributes:

The fresh root, pounded and applied topically helps fade bruising. A decoction can also be used as a facial rinse to help fade blemishes or for poison ivy and similar skin problems.

An infusion can be used for profuse menstruation and internal bleeding, indigestion and other stomach and digestive complaints including ulcers, bowel problems and hemorrhoids. It is also said to speed the healing of broken bones. Used as a mouthwash, it is said to help strengthen gums.

Solomon's Seal root tea is a good tonic acting on the kidneys, heart and sexual organs as well as soothing the digestive system.

Oil infused with Solomon's Seal root is good to keep on hand for first aid treatment of sprains, strains and broken or bruised bones. (Not to replace, but to enhance traditional medical intervention.) Solomon's Seal root tea or tincture aids in the repair of broken bones and may be drunk after a doctor has set the break. It is also great for torn ligaments, dislocations and other issues with joints.

American Solomon's Seal, King Solomon's Seal, King Solomon's-seal, Small Solomon's Seal, Lady's Seals. St. Mary's Seal, True Solomon's Seal, Sow's Tits, Sow's Teats, Drop berry, Seal root, He Shou Wu, Mahmeda, Meda, Sealwort, Yu-zhu

Solomon's Seal is a lovely woodland perennial with native varieties in North America, Asia and Europe. It can grow up to two feet tall. (Greater Solomon's Seal is much larger than True Solomon's Seal, but they have identical properties.)

The plant consists of a single stem with many broad, ovate leaves with parallel venation arranged alternately along the length of it and clasping the base. The plant often grows in a slight arc and the flowers dangle from the leaf axils beneath the arc of the stem. (This gives the plant its folk name "sow's teats")

The flowers are small, white to pale yellowish green and tubular and occur in drooping clusters of two to five. Blooming begins in April and continues through midsummer. The berries appear as the flowers fade and resemble a hard black pea.

The root is a rhizome and it is said that the circular scar left by the stem after it breaks away from the root resembles the seal of Solomon of Hebrew folklore. (Also known as the Star of David.)

Solomon’s Seal Polygonatum biflorum is an elegant plant that is Native to North America. The slender, arching stems have alternating lance-shaped leaves that are either green or tipped with white. The small, tubular white flowers dangle underneath the leaves. More mature plants tend to have more flowers and are a bit showier. But it’s the plant form that makes Solomon’s Seal such an interesting plant.

"Solomon's Seal”, especially the root, is traditionally used in a range of afflictions from menopause to broken bones. As a topical application, the root are said to expedite the healing of cuts and bruises, skin irritations and inflammations, and as a face wash is good for acne, blemishes and all kinds of imperfections of the skin. When consumed as a tea, it is said to alleviate a range of symptoms associated with menopause, indigestion, diabetes, broken bones, insomnia, kidney pains, and even infertility.

Its use to fight diabetes was first observed in 1930 by Langecker. After experiments, he concluded that it was effective in fighting nutritional hyperglycemia, though not that caused by adrenaline release, probably due to its content in glucokinin.

Many of you have been affected by having someone close to you who is bravely fighting, or fought, breast cancer – myself included. Six years ago, my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive breast cancer with a 3 inch tumor. My mother, a single parent of three, did not have any money for insurance and consequently was treated at General Hospital. It was horrifying to go with her to the appointments and see the massive amount of women who were are all being treated for the same disease, many of which we befriended and have tragically succumbed to the disease. Thankfully, after a long battle with chemotherapy, radiation and finally a lumpectomy, my mother beat the cancer. She has been a survivor for 5 years!

According to BreastCancer.org, approximately one out of every eight women in the United States will develop an invasive form of breast cancer within her lifetime. This is an unfortunate reality in today's world. In addition, BreastCancer.org reports that about 39,840 women in the U.S. were expected to die in 2010 from breast cancer, though death rates have been decreasing since 1990. These decreases are thought to be the result of treatment advances, earlier detection through screening, and increased awareness.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in October and is celebrated to bring awareness and education to help save lives. Here are some ideas for you to bring awareness to you and the women in your life: learn to do a breast self examine; find out if you are overweight/obese by calculating your (BMI) body mass index (overweight and obese women -- defined as having a BMI over 25 --have a higher risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer compared to women who maintain a healthy weight, especially after menopause); wear pink throughout the month and/or wear a pink ribbon; participate in a 5k breast cancer walk; honor a survivor in your life; educate yourself about the risk factors; make a donation to breast cancer research; and/or schedule your mammogram if you are over 40 (or 35 with first female relative with history of breast cancer). Breast Cancer Awareness can really help make a difference in our society’s fight against this disease.

One easy way to decrease your risk of breast cancer is through exercise. Exercise is one of the most important components of successful health promotion and disease prevention for both you and your family, at any age and level of physical ability. Don’t make exercise a chore, instead, pick something that you will enjoy doing: walking, walking your dog, going to the park, playing a sport, washing your car or the car of your elderly neighbor, hula dancing, playing catch – whatever your choose, the important factor is to have FUN. “Army Strong and Taking Care of People” starts with taking care of YOURSELF. If you need help getting started, call me to join the Fit To Win program today!

This hand painted, mirrored, curio cabinet, which displays my mother’s crystal, is a real gem. It lived in the home that I grew up in, first having belonged to my mother's grandmother, and then my mother's mother, and then my own mother, before it became mine. I am really glad I inherited it, that it made its way maternally down to me. And with it, its crystal. I don't know which pieces came from which "mother", a mishmash of memories, of families, and holiday dinners. I hope that one day, one of my daughters will want it, and enjoy it as I have.

When I was a framer, I framed my mother's wedding portrait in a tarnished gold frame that wonderfully complemented the cabinet, and since then, the portrait has lived above it. Behind that is stuck a palm leaf which I confiscated from my mother's nursing home room, after watching her pass, a remnant of her last Palm Sunday, a memory of our last moments together. The palm is also a reminder of my mother the believer, something which she was not able to pass on to me.

I "enjoy" my memories that having this cabinet stir in me, although they are certainly bittersweet. Growing up in the 50's and 60's in an upper middle class suburb just outside of Boston, I was privileged and lived among comfortable and educated families in the overflow of a college town. I really had no idea how fortunate I was. However, my family was a pretty dysfunctional, quite Catholic family, and as the only non-believer (still am the only), I was definitely pegged as the outsider, the scapegoat. Hence the bittersweetness. Since my father was mostly absent, usually working, and when at home, sleeping through his undiagnosed diabetes, there are many days I am left wondering, who am I if I am not my mother's daughter?

It was, without doubt, a difficult relationship with my mother. She and my father were married for 57 years before her passing, which was remarkable, even in those times. But she was not a warm and affectionate woman. The world saw her public face, which looked pretty friendly and kind. But at home with us, she was often unhappy and quite stern, doling out punishment like it was her daily responsibility. She did not protect me from my brother. She drank daily and more than a little, although no one ever suspected how much, since we never saw her drunk. Well, almost never. When we got older, that was when we saw, and understood. She was often hard on my dad as well. I can remember her scolding him from her hospital bed when he cried, thinking that she hadn't much time left. But even after several open heart surgeries, and cancer, and a stroke, all of which started when she was 58, she managed to hang on to the ripe old age of 80. She was "a tough old bird". That was her expression, and it perfectly suited her. Her longevity, and near death experiences, gave me time. Time to reconcile myself with the hand I’d been dealt.

I don't remember ever being played with, or even being held. And I am told by my sister, as a consolation, that none of us were. My mother never complimented, encouraged, or helped. When I asked her to go to my school, to meet my teachers, and see how I was spending my days and with whom, she replied that she didn’t need to since I wasn’t in trouble. I was an Honors student, but I think my mother always felt threatened by me, rather than being proud of me. One of her favorite expressions was, “Don’t be smart with me,” which many times came accompanied with a slap. Numerous times she told the story of how upset she was when she discovered that she was pregnant with me, her fourth child, right after she had given away all the diapers. The punchline to the story was never, "And look how lucky I was to get you." It was always, "and when I asked the doctor 'what will I do?' he answered, 'you'll do what you have to do.' " I mean really, how lacking in understanding of the human psyche does one need to be in order to tell that story to her child, and everyone else at the dinner table, time and time again? How could she be a mother and not understand the damage that is done to a young soul that is told, you were an unwanted obligation? I know she thought it was a lesson in being strong. Her way of being strong made it more than a little difficult to get close to her.

And still, I loved my mother, even though some of the teenager vs the menopausal crone years were near torture. She was, after all, the only mother I was to get. It was often painful to love my mother. I eventually came to believe that she loved me in her own way, and that it usually showed up as her worrying about me. In my adulthood, after many years of attempting to create some other kind of intimacy with my mother, I gave up. I had an epiphany that I would never have the mother that I wanted, that I deserved, that every child deserves. I took 2 years off from speaking to her, and worked on me, instead of us. Who do I want to be in the face of my history? Who am I anyway? And with that came a kind of peace. I no longer held any hope or expectation. When we began again, it meant that every nicety, every time that she was kind or funny, it was a great unexpected gift. Since I liked myself and who I had become, I could only be grateful for the life that she had given me. I was her progeny, a product of her DNA and of her teachings as well. I came to an understanding that despite her shortcomings, she did the best she could.

I was a very different kind of mother with my own daughters. I think I mostly took her lessons as how NOT to be with your child. I held my girls and loved them up, I played with them on the floor, read to them for hours, went to bat for them when the world was being unfair, and told them endlessly how smart and pretty they were (are), that they could do and be anything that they wanted, that they are oh so loved. All the things a little girl wants and needs to hear, including apologies for the times when I was human and made my own mistakes. I healed a lot of my mother “stuff” by being a good mother myself.

My relationship with my mother continues to transform, even though she's gone many years now. Sometimes I put on her ring and say, "Come on Mom, you want to come to work with me today?" and I let her come along for the ride, show her that I have been able to find a happy life, which seems to have been so elusive for her. I try to heal the ancestors, and lighten the burden that was passed down to her, the pain that my mother seemed unable to speak about or share with anyone. And so, I guess I have become a believer of sorts, in my own time, in my own way. How’m I doin’, Mum?

This is picture I shot few years back of St Andrew Church Bandra Hill Road..my favorite and I had just got the hang of night photography..

I joined Flickr 10 June 2007.

I was a member earlier too but had deleted my account.

It was Monsieur El Gekko who led us here like the pied piper of Buzznet, and my elder son Asif Shakir presented me the Pro membership , and completed my pictorial formalities.

Flickr has been a blessing in disguise , as I was able to show my photography without text as I am an incorrigible photo blogger.

I was never a writer or a poet but the Blog Goddess sculpted me such.

I am hypersensitive to harsh criticism, that attack my country, my Shia faith or my race .

Most of my poems written at the poetry site were responses to such vicious vile and scurrilous attacks, as the management never paid heed even after writing poems to highlight my plight, I am not into competitive poetry nor competitive photography.

So reaching the top has never been my aim or my desire .

I am a very simple person, I believe any religion that harms humanity is no religion to subscribe too, what I do as rituals of my faith is my personal derivation , and should not bother anyone but radical elements.

I may write poems rubbishing women poets buts its only to tease, I may write I am married to 7 women and have 23 children, fact is I am married to a single woman for 30 years and have 3 kids and a recent addition of a grandchild Marziya Shakir, who completes 1 month on this auspicious day..

I am lucky to have some of the finest friends here at Flickr who have been a great help ,Ben Bell Df Duck DaVinca Neil Romanek,Yorrik , PPC,Poseyal, Killiweb Tom Andrews, Daikitora Lierdasim Pemh,Ameesh and hordes of them who read and see my pictures.

The recent incident almost the first of its kind at Flickr about people who hate Truth and who after having me deb bared at a poetry site for exposing White Racism, tried the same here at Flickr.

I am ready to accept any judgment and I am bound by a terms of Service contract but greater than that is one of respecting other members too.. without hurting anyone intentionally or intentionally.

I have since last two days overworked myself editing my poems and also deleting those that I wrote in a fit of anger at my detractors of my former poetry site..its stupendous task, and this was important as the battle ground was not Flickr..nor had I targeted Flickr members..

Even the poem I wrote on Anjali who had written foul comments on my post I deleted..I have decided racism exists its not about color but about a wicked mind super imposing its views on another mind from a different alien culture..

I have removed all my blogs from Flickr and third party searches till I remove all those poems that give importance to my detractors and add to my poetic notoriety.

So I have been quiet, as I treated Flickr as my home site by default I have to start from here , I have for the time being disabled my Word Press BlogSpot and Ipernity blogs..from public view.

Inconvenience is regretted.

I wish you all Flickr Support Management, my friends contacts who have helped me in my growth Merry Xmas and a very Happy New Year..

I end this with a poem on me written by eminent English poet David Hazell a fighter of human rights and against artistic injustice and Racism..He wrote this poem at my former poetry site forum, a poem that showed that even after leaving I am bad mouthed called vile names by one or two women who hate me for showing their true xenophobic poetic hate for a brown Indian poet, who had reached the top of a White Mans ceiling.. luckily overflew a Cuckoos nest..

Firoze Shakir, the noblest of men

When will we e’er see HIS like again?

Like Jesus himself HE stands aloof,

Crucified for speaking truth.

Hounded by drunken cockhunter hags,

Parrot faced cows who have had their last shags.

Spat on by racists who poeticise

That they are not racists, but thin, their disguise.

Puerile their poetry, shallow their hearts.

Passionless prattle, penned by wet farts.

Morons menopausal, with droopy old dugs

And foul fascist bastards who trail slime like slugs.

Cowardly gangsters, who spit from the crowd,

Heartless and mindless, they weave the saint’s shroud.

Firoze, is a champion of those oppressed,

By ravening wolves, who in lambskin are dressed.

But death hath not dominion, HE shall return!

And cleanse with HIS love, those who righteousness spurn.

REPENT NOW! Ye demons whose purpose is fell.

Or be cursed in your bile

To spend Christmas

In HELL!

David Hazell

If you truly believe this dribble than you are as bad as if not worse than him. He was the racist, the only one on the site. He had no morals, at least any that were evident to any on here and may be shown by the fact that he has seven wives, which is called bigomy. He is not missed and he did all in his power to put over 75 per cent of the good writers in here in a 'living hell.'

Read what you've just written, It's disgusting. Anyhow he's already snuck back in using one of his other names Vickram or Vickam or something like that. Also a couple nights ago he tried a new one...Melody Maker or some such name in which he was stupid enough to post a poem, first I think, with his phrase Bollywood in it. The fact that he's in the Forum writing to himself is sick. Seven wives, my arse, he couldn't service one for he is always on a computer. Never mind go to work and earn a living to support them.

I hope PH reads the disgusting poem you've written above that I'm commenting on. Read it sir, for you are the only one other than the various FS in all his disguises and full of BILE. You are worse than Scrooge. As to hell it won't be people at PH who will be in but perhaps ones like you and him should consider it as a place that would welcome your filty rantings and give you it's warmest spot in that deep burning hole.

Betsy Stangle (12/23/2007 1:37:00 PM) Post reply

He had that name before he stopped posting under Love Poetry hate racism [actually he loves racism as he's the only racist on site as it's all he talks about] and used it to write comments on himself. Of course, we all know of another man here who did that as well but at least he was not a vile, disgusting. He was a good human just insecure. He had another new one the other night too. He's never left, never...How in the world can he be on here at all hours and working to support seven wives and too many kids to count. How, because not one woman in the universe would marry such perverted filth. He is here to try and ruin Christmas for us. He is either Scrooge reincarnated or Osama Bin Laden has finally been found. Best let President Bush know as well as PH.

His 'new' 'name' is this 'Vikraim'....be happy...

To PH Managemt

I am out of PH I dont need to come by the back door told to you several times, I cannot be in Mumbai and In cardiff at the same time I am not Vikram or anyone else .

It hurts the way this lady Betsy Stangle and Elysabeth Faslund have tarnished my name and I cannot even defend myself.. this is nothing but pure racism to my memory as a former Poem Hunter member..

Please rein them or warn them atleast ..

I am disgusted at their ongoing rantings of hate for me.

(This massage was posted as a reply to that message) to vikram

She is not BETSY, I AM, you fool and yes you are him and we all, people in here on site and in here know it and guess what now PH does as well. You are also the guy from Thursday or Friday, Melody something...remember, you took one of your own names 'Bollywoood' and put it in there.

You won't bother us at PH for no one cares to be associated with the one racist on here and that is you. You are a pathetic excuse for a human being and that's being kind. You have cheated your way through the IP's so that none of the poets who should be there, want to be anymore. Not with Love Poetry and Firoze Shakir on their list.

So go to the Photo Porno site that you as Fizore said on here that that is what you wanted PH to become. Your names may be on the list, but no one clicks on you that knew who you are, still are.

So have fun typing to yourself and your alter ego David Hazell and the crazed 87 year old Sherrie who spends all day filling the pages here with useless dribble.

Know this, you have messed with the wrong people. There are people on this site who do have personal contact with PH and do have good legal representation where money is no obstacle, so have at it for your goose will be cooked. Don't worry know one here wants you as their Christmas Goose.

my message sent to the poetry management..

Why don't you put some moderation at your poem hunter forum...

Its time you put some control and reined such talk cancerous disease that has set in by these two virulent ladies Elysabeth Faslund and Betsy Stangle

Like me thousand others are reading all the forum quotes..

Its time you took a serious stand..

The Alzheimer’s Epidemic:

Some really alarming statistics as per the Alzheimer’s Association:

- More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease.

- Every 67 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s.

* What is Alzheimer’s disease?

Alzheimer’s disease affects the nerve cells in the brain, causing their degeneration. In such circumstances, the brain loses the ability to analyze and use incoming data, that leads to a loss of independence, loss of memory and orientation in the environment. Usually people over 65 years suffer from this disease, but occasionally people up to 50 years old can have it.

* Symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

Disability to evaluate events, sudden mood swings, anxiety and depression and Loss of sense of time.

* Causes of Alzheimer’s disease

Currently conventional medicine does not have precise data about the cause of Alzheimer’s disease. Presumably, causes are repeated vascular cerebral seizures, genetic predisposition, lack of fatty acids (especially essential ones), estrogen deficiency, frequent stresses, etc.

# Yoga: An alternative treatment for Alzheimer’s:-

It has been seen that elderly people who practice yoga can keep their minds sharper. People who practice yoga are able to bring balance to their lives.
