Memories are made of these.

People are always asking why i take so many photos? By people I mean my wife lol.

She still doesn't get it that i have missed so many years of being the true the me that I still feel that it will all get taken away and all i will have are memories and as we get older those memories fade..

These photos are my memories i can look back and go yeah that was me and i did do that and i did have a life.

Or I am just simply very vain lol.

Empty Skies is another outstanding feature of Liberty State Park. It's walls list the names of the New Jersey residents lost on 9/11.

I asked Magissa to take a pic of me wearing these jewelry set, which was gifted to me by the amazing MVW 2012 finalists, created by the very talented Yula Finesmith of Finesmith Jewelry:)

Very feminine, very elegant set that I absolutely love!

I wanted a picture of it so I could forever keep it as a memoir of my one year as Miss VW, how amazing it was, how much I was able to grow as a model and most importantly, as a better person.

Thank you so much ladies for this amazing gift, for your compassion and thoughtfulness. I am truly humbled to receive this and will treasure it in my heart for ever!

Love,

Serene

An old homestead sitting proudly on the hill. Someone moved to Canada, a new land of endless dreams and possibilities. Someone broke this land with a horse and plow, someone farmed this land to make a living. Some one dreamed this house and made it a reality, but now it is just ...a fading memory.

Taken several years ago in Liguria, Italy.

Ignore “date taken “ as this image is three years old!

memories about pleasure, you felt like a king, you felt the world was yours and nothing made sense except the moment of ecstasy. This was the real heaven.

Memories from my childood

Taken for the "52 of Twenty Eleven" project. Week #3. Theme: memories...

As a child I loved this simple wooden colorful toy, and I still do love it! When I pull it all the balls start moving, rotating, waving... so simple but cool.

This strange "snail" is still with me after so many years. While I was pulling it to take the photo, keeping in my hands the short string, I recognized how small I was!

One more thing!!! I forgot before! My mother says I should add this small story to this photo. So, when I was already about 22 23 years old my mother gave to the kids of the neighbors a box full of old toys from me and my sister. My mother took this "snail" thinking that it was not useful anymore. Biiiiig mistake! I realized immediately that the snail was gone ..and ... in short, I could not resist and I went to the neighbors to get my snail back ... I think they laughed a lot about me ;) :D

This year, my family lost a dear member, my mother's sister, to breast cancer. One service the funeral home offered was to create two memory bears for her surviving spouse, children, and grandchildren. Two bears were nowhere near enough for all of her grandchildren, never mind her children, her spouse, and her surviving siblings. So, my mother volunteered to make more.

Each bear incorporates a piece of fabric my aunt worked with or had worn. On the bottom back paw, the bear has the American Sign Language sign for "I Love You" to honor my aunt's use of Sign Language, and wears a necklace with a pink flamingo, symbolizing her love of being in Florida for the last 9 years of her life. Each bear is different and will be sent to the family member whose personality (and request) best matches the bear in question.

My hope is that when my family receives these bears, the memories of my aunt which surface will be a blessing for reach recipient. For all those who have lost someone close to them recently, may you also find some solace, peace, and blessings in the memory of your loved one. Blessed holiday season to all.
