Melting Ice after the Ice storm we had this morning.

Thank you for your comments & fav.!

Taken late on a warm afteoon after sunset as the ice began to melt on the coast of the Gulf of Finland (DSC08706-2).

Addressing the melting ice environmental problem. Hoping that we can take better care of our climate.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

This picture captures the conditions of the day well. Snowing but temperatures above 0 Celcius. Water pouring out through cracks in the ice creating circular shapes in the snow. Rocks ice and pinetrees all around. It was all quite beautiful even though skies were gray.

Early Spring is announced for the next days. Looks like we will enjoy a great time. Hücker Moor, Spenge, Ostwestfalen, Germany

Macro Monday

Theme: Paper Art

Size: Less than 3x3 inches

The subject is a piece of tissue paper. I sprinkle some water drops on the paper and crunched it randomly to create these shapes.

With a bit of imagination it looks like hills and crumbling icebergs.

There are 2 sources of light , an overhead incandescent table lamp light and a LED torch under neath the tissue paper.

Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always

appreciated.

HMM

When the outside temperature is high, the snow on the branches melts and falls down with snow smoke.

Taken with my new/used Nikon N80 film camera, first roll of black and white. Kodak film 400 ISO, Tamron lens 17-50mm. Not a whole lot of post processing done I added a little bit more contrast and I used the red slider it adds more contrast sometimes. This was off of the CD!

The shapes and patterns of the rocks while the frozen water was melting on the pond.

TRYING TO CATCH UP! 🙋‍♀️

Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! Have a great day!🙋‍♀️

Be well and safe.

Thank you for taking the time to look, comment or fave.

Same place as the preceding shot but about ten minutes later. The ice had just about melted but left the sparkling drops of water so I took a shot as nothing to lose...

"Of pleasant images in pleasant words,

Melting like melody into the ear,

And stealing on in one continual flow,

Unruffled and unbroken. It is joy

Ineffable to dwell upon the lines

That register our feelings, and portray,

In colours always fresh and ever new,

Emotions that were sanctified, and loved,

As something far too tender, and too pure,

For forms so frail and fading..."

Unexpected warm days make all the big snows melt these days. Much spring water expected. For me it's good - more possibilities to find nice reflections:-)

Thank you for all the comments and faves, my friends.

Today I had to take the day off because my son has the flu. I did not mind, because the sun is shining and I know the weekend will be very wet. So I when I was sitting on my couch and I looked into my garden, this icy drop was begging me to take it's picture. I hope you like it.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I went to the garden when I saw the signs of the sun in this morning. I planned to spend here just some minutes. I didn't get too far: next to the house I found a painted board with some ice droplets. I spent with these droplets about 15-20 minutes and I took about 40-50 photos :) The time flyies fast when you find a great theme :)

I moved the board here and there, I was playing with the settings of the camera, I searched for the sunlight. The background is dry reed leaf. This is one of my favorite photos from this series.
