Well, what a mess I made with these! I forget quite how quickly ice melts - or how slowly I work. I thought it might be a good idea to freeze some red food colouring in some small heart moulds, but they melted far too fast and the little heart I froze in an ice cube rose to the surface and appeared too quickly. So this was my attempt at red heart for "Smile on Saturday".

From single digit temperatures a week ago to temperatures in the high forties today. Most of the snow we received in the big storm is gone and the lake ice is melting.
