In a week, I'll finally be on vacation again, and boy, I'm in need of it!! Maybe I'll go to a little house like that to rest and medidate. There's a lot of soul searching I need to make before going back to the real world!

In this beautiful "corner" I sat down on the grass and enjoyed the beauty of Nature in all its glory: the sound of the water, the birds, the breeze, the plants all come together in perfect harmony - after a long walk in this unique "park" I rested here and medidated for a while and felt so "at peace"; so as of we are all going through a crisis in this world I hope you will enjoy this beautiful and peaceful place - so listen to the music, be zen (and lets "give peace a chance") ... ENJOY!

The Angriest Dog in the World was published as a four-panel comic serial in the LA Reader from 1983 to 1992, which was then revived for davidlynch.com in 2000.

It depicts the story of a dog's unexpressed anger and the bickering of its owners from within their suburban home. With clenched teeth and tethered by interminable fury, Lynch's dog is a vessel for expressing base animal instincts and the pain and absurdities of modern life.

Lynch has said that after learning to medidate, the 'rage' that he used to direct 'toward those near and dear' just 'evaporated,' and that 'the memory of anger is what creates The Angriest Dog, not the actual anger any more. I don't know where my anger came from and I don't know where it went, either'.

Pidurangala was used as a Buddhist monastery and but became a prominent place during the reign of King Kashyapa (473 - 495 AC).

According to ancient chronicles, Prince Kashyapa had killed his father King Dhatusena and fled to Sigiriya to find out a more secure place to prevent retaliation attacks from his half-brother, Mugalan. With the arrival of King Kashyapa, the Bhikkus who were medidated there were requested move to the nearby Pidurangala. In a sort of compensation, King Kashyapa refurbished the temple and made it a prominent place.

Halfway into the trail of the Valley of the Triglav lakes (Dolina Triglavskih jezer), also known as the Seven Lakes Valley (Dolina sedmerih jezer), I found this imponent rock right in the middle of the way. It looked so magnificent from far way and I felt it like a symbol, a sign, suddenly feeling a lot of respect and fondness towards this simple rock. I walked closer to it, went around and up. I finally sat on it and started medidating for 10 or 20 minutes. It just felt right to do it, a that moment, thinking about what I had achieved and being grateful for living such a wonderful moments.

.

Then I continued. This picture was taken as I looked back to the diamond shaped rock, seen in the center of the picture. It was an interesting spiritual moment.

Triglav National Park, Slovenia, 2015.

Do you know the moment that you are complete? When there is no sense of a “present person”. All of you have moments like this. Sitting in a rock, watching the sea, your happiness was not outside. The impact of that panorama over your ego was so strong that displaced it temporarily. This is meditation: when your ego is displaced, unemployed, retired. When you are free of yourself is when you are truly happy, because you are a serious problem to yourself. When you are “out of yourself”, you are on the Self, you are on Consciousness, you are with God, on the Truth, at this timeless immensity. This is meditation! It signals this place, this true state of Being in which you are not. You and your history, you and your culture, you and this fear, all of it is just foolishness, a big illusion! ~M. ~M. Nestled high in the Himalayas of the Nandadevi Biosphere Reserve, Hemkund Sahibji is a gurudwara and Lakshman Temple located on the banks of the Lokpal lake . This is one of the most holiest Sikh shrines in India.

Well this is what we read in Books , but this place has lot more than gurudwara and Lokpal temple . This area has divine energy , sitting on the edge of this lake and contemplating is a life time experience . One can actually synchronise with the nature and feel the energy of this place . Weather the person is sikh or muslim or christian or whatever , the place has nothing to do with the religion it works equally on each and every person who comes here with the love for nature .

At 4600m(15000 ft) , Snow peaked mountain , color changing Water of the Lake , the beautiful flowers , the chilling weather, and unknown energy ,this all makes this place so divine and beautiful one cannot explain .

It's not only Sh Guru Gobind singh ji and Lakshman ji who have medidated here but i think plenty of souls in their final cycle , with the thirst of finding the truth must have enlightened here only.

I look seriously forward to visit this place again , and i suggest every nature and mountain lover to visit this place .

Miguel Nuno de Almeida, SJ medidating during the morning prayer in the Aula.

Spirituality means different things to different people and cultures. In India, rivers have held a sacred meaning for people, religion and spirituality. Yamuna - the river on the banks of which the birth place of Lord Krishna thrived, is merely a trickle today. But the connotations haven't changed. A lone sadhu medidates on the 'ghats' or the banks of this river, while the old dilapidated ancient structure looks on...

If found that practice of Mediatation is now a more universal phenomenon than something that was pertained to older people once. On the ghats of ganges I found that young and old alike practiced this age old technique of breathing discipline while medidating. This is no rocket science but a practice of sitting calm without getting distracted and concetrate on the self breathing... a simple technique changes so much within the mind......

Recommendation for a bicycle holiday in Taiwan:

Get yourself and the bike to the end of the Provincial Highway no. 8 at the east coast in Hualian County (花蓮縣). Xincheng (新城), at milestone 190, is a good place to start, it even has a nice little train station. Spend the night there.

On the second day get up early and leave before sunrise, to avoid the heat and the tourist buses. Ride along Highway no. 8, also known as the Central Cross-Island Highway (中部橫貫公路) westbound through the steep and deep Taroko Gorge (太魯閣), pictured above. It's wise to bring your lights: some of the tunnels are as dark as nostrils. Keep on riding, up and up, until you reach the village of Dayuling (大禹嶺) at milestone 112. There is a shop and restaurant just opposite of the tunnel entrance, roofed with corrugated iron: Ask there for accommodation. I'm sure you have seen posher hotels but tonight you will stay here. If you still feel fit and strong, leave your luggage there and ride up to Wuling (武嶺) on Hehuan Mountain (合歡山) in the afternoon. My recommendation, however, is to save your energy, take a good rest and do it on the next morning - you'll need to come back to Dayuling anyway.

Up to Wuling it's only 10 km but a 750 m climb including 1 km downhill, so the average gradient is around 10%. Some ramps have 16%. It's not on Highway 8 but on Highway no. 14甲. After 8 km you'll reach a big sign that says "Hehuanshan 3158 m". Don't be fooled: this is not the summit yet! Wuling is another cruel mile ahead and 140 m higher. It's the highest point you can reach in Taiwan on a public road. Sit down there for a while on a patch of grass and take a deep breath of mountain air on top of the world. Listen to the wind. Remember that you were on sea level just 90 km ago. Medidate.

If you feel like it you can follow the 14甲 a little down on the other side but the landscape soon gets boring, that's why I recommend to go back to Dayuling where you have two choices to return to civilisation: If you don't want to take the same way back (80 km straight downhill) you can go via Lishan (梨山), following the no. 8 through the tunnel. This option is not as spectacular and the landscape around Lishan and Nanshan (南山) is ruined by intensive agriculture, but you will pass through that quickly (mostly downhill) and there are some highlights: The cascade of hairpins from the Siyuan pass (思源埡口) down into the valley (milestones 45 to 32 on Highway no. 7甲) and then up again on another cascade with more than 20 hairpins (milestones 87 to 74 on Highway no. 7). And the nice little road called 環湖公路, along the banks of Shimen Reservoir (石門水庫) finishes off the trip nicely (turn left off Highway no. 7 at milestone 11). From Dayuling to the reservoir it's more than 200 km, so you may want to stay overnight somewhere on the way. That's up to you, just avoid the Qilan Resort (棲蘭山莊), where the rooms are overpriced and the food cannot be eaten.

What is the best time to come? Avoid weekends and the holiday season if you can, because of the tourists (no, I don't need a reminder that I'm a bloody tourist myself). October and November usually have the best weather but don't go in winter because then Wuling is covered in ice and snow. Check the weather report (you don't want a typhoon to spoil this once-in-a-lifetime experience) and the road news (you don't want to be cut off from your way home by a landslide). Always start riding early in the morning.

There are, of course, many other nice roads in Taiwan, just buy a map and explore yourself. All the interior consists of mountains and the eastern slopes are better (wilderness) than the west (civilisation). It has become a popular challenge among Taiwanese cyclists to ride all around the island. But my recommendation is: don't.

Medidating in black & white

The Mustapha Restaurant in Bamiyan village, below the main, 80 m. high Buddha.

It was possible to make a walk over the rocks above the Buddha, from which you had a nice view over the valley. We visited the statues, which originally were painted and decorated. There were still traces of gold paint.

In the rocks there were niches. In the days when Bamiyan Valley was buddhist monks must have medidated there. (This notion gives rise tot the question when Bamiyan Valley was buddhist. I guess a lot of Afghanistan and Central Asia were islamised in the centuries following the rise of islam - 7th century. The Bamiyan Valley must have been buddhist before that period. Some sources date the statues back to the 3th or 4th century A.D.)

November 20, 2010 - Praying? Medidating? Babbling?

Today was mega busy. I had to get an injection which freakin’ hurt (but I did get two jelly beans out of it) and then I went to this stretchy yoga gym class with meditation at the end. As I suspect that I have ADHD it comes as no surprise that I cannot medidate. Instead of lying in the warm stream of purple clouds I spent the 15 minutes of meditation with Tom Hanks in my head playing chopsticks on that massive floor piano. Finally at the end I managed to clear my head and then I fell asleep, which is also bad. I just can’t do relaxed.

Meditation is the art of being delighted with the Source; not with the rill, but with the source! The paradox of this Realization is that it is instantaneous and it is gradual. The paradox of this Realization is that the "surrender" is yours, the Surrender is God’s, Devotion is yours, but the Devotion is from God by God. No thought about God happens there, if God does not produce the thought about Himself, about who He Is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The desire for God is God's desire for Himself. Your salvation is not yours, it is God recognizing Himself as safe, untouchable, immutable, unattainable by any distress, suffering and danger. This is the paradox - God has never lost from Himself, He does not want to find Himself, but He does it all the time: He gets lost and wants to find Himself. He will never quit doing it, being a paradox. ~Master Gualberto ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A Iluminação é paradoxal, Deus é paradoxal. ~Mestre Gualberto ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ramanashramgualberto #mestregualberto #satsang #ramana #ramanamaharshi #awakening #advaita #nonduality #mahadeva #arunachala #artedeviver #jefffoster #ramdass #mooji #guidance #spiritualawekening #medidate #pray #prayers #mind #destiny #oracao #devotion #devocao #love #amor #liberdade #freedom #surrender #yoga ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
