Well, this year just keeps getting better and better it would seem.

A very heart-felt thank you to Blue Islands, a Channel Islands Airline company who decided that they like my work enough to publish it in their monthly in-flight magazine! Crazy!

I am stunned. They were even kind enough to add information about my E-book on light painting. My head spins when I think about how many people could potentially see this article over the coming weeks...

I am so thankful - here's hoping it leads to more exciting developments for me and my ongoing photography journey. 2014 has been a very special year for me :O)

If you fancy having a read, Issue # 41 will soon be available online via the following link:

Well, here it is. The first page of a very generous 4 page spread in Digital Photographer magazine, issue # 161.

Thanks so much again to DPM for commissioning me to do this for them - the tutorial was so much fun to put together, and it's always good to take a step back from time to time and really think about how you approach a light painting shoot.

I hope those who read it find it incredibly useful :O)

For those of you out there who are keen on learning loads more about light painting in general, please feel free to check out my E-book which is jam packed full of loads of really useful information:

Well chuffed that the NYP has picked up on my work! Speechless... (well, almost!)

Well, the little peeps have only gone and done it again - this time they decided to find their way into the newspapers while I was off on my holidays so it was a lovely surprise to arrive back and learn that they had been keeping busy without me...

I am so excited to report that some of my work is about to be featured in an upcoming issue of Digital Camera Magazine in China.

I am so thrilled that my work is being allowed the opportunity of being shown to such a new (and potentially very large) audience.

Another small feather in the cap for us light painters :O)

I recently received an enquiry from First News about my work with miniatures, and I am so glad that I was able to help them out. They are a fantastic publication and I agree 100% with what they stand for and what their aims are.

Thanks for taking an interest in my work, and I hope our paths cross again in the near future.

The Little Peeps are now starting to get a little bit cocky after all their recent press coverage, and they have decided to increase their rates.

Drat.

.... Media & television coverage of rampage shooting, July 23, 2018 on Danforth Avenue. Two people are dead and 13 others injured, the suspected gunman is also dead. Witnesses described a man dressed in black, with a black hat, firing about 20 shots in the area. The scene extended over several blocks, roughly between Chester and Logan Avenues.

Paramedics said multiple people were taken to hospitals and trauma centers, including a 9 year old girl, who was transported to the Hospital for Sick Children ....

It has been an insane week of coverage for which I, and the little peeps, are massively grateful.

You can't help but suspect that French society has somehow brought this on itself; it can't be merely a handful of ruling-class men and women who have gone bonkers.

We're very proud and happy to be featured on the Vancouver Sun (Under breaking news A3 to be exact) today. As small business owners, we really appreciate every piece of exposure we get from the media.

To extend the story of the article, we really love Vancouver despite what other people think. Quite often, we hear people say "yeah, Vancouver is beautiful but it's too sleepy and too small...blah blah blah" but we beg to differ.

This city is humming with entrepreneurial energy and if you look beyond the surface (of just beautiful mountains and oceans) you'll find a very engaged and innovative community that are building world class brands and products. From innovative bike helmets to tech companies like Hootsuite, we have it all. We're really proud to be part of this community of creative tinkerers and entrepreneurs. We're in for the long haul and we're not going to stop innovating, building and playing in this city we call home. Big thanks again to the Vancouver Sun for interviewing us and giving us the shine on our small business.

Yes here is the venue where we were invited as VIP guests at Gari`s grand launching:

A little about Gari (taken from the programme):

Gari Glaysher is one of the worlds most exciting new Sprinto Tenors.

Creating a sensation with audiences all over the world. Gari`s powerful original vocal presence is rightly described as "One in a million". He has broken through the tough world of Opera to sing lead roles in numerous productions around the world.

His performances have included a special invitation to sing for Prince Albert of Monaco and HRH Sophie the Countess of Wessex. Gari has played leading roles in Opera productions at the Royal Albert Hall (The Studio Theatre) at the Royal opera House Covent Garden and the Port theatre, Vancouver.

Gari sang a truly tremendous array of songs, from the light hearted to the tear jerking and powerful such as E Lucevan Stelle , Nessun Dorma and to Handels Sarabande he had written his own beautiful words and dedicated to his lovely wife Lynn.

I think one of the most moving things as well was after the concert at the special VIP party when Gari has said he will sing at Fluffy and my wedding! Such lovely friendships also developed on Friday , there were the loveliest guests also with us and it was a pleasure for us to chat and to laugh with so many glamorous, interesting people with the most fascinating lifestyles from around the world.

We love you Gari and you too Jonathon for inviting us to a night to remember forever and heres to many more standing ovations like this one!

Congratulations dear friends!

Here are Fluffy and I in our garden. You can see my lilac and turqoise chiffon scarf better here draped over a pale lilac silk jacket. Here you can see my Fluffy`s suit he wore at Gari`s grand concert. Only difference being that he wore an indigo coloured tie. After all the venue was at Londons Millenium Domes `Indigo2`....Fluffy received a lot of very flattering comments as under electric lights his suit sparlkes and shines. This was taken by our dear friend Jason Titley, actually taken on the day Jason got married to Becky. We had put him up the night before and fluffy was Best man.

Gari Glayshers grand launching at the Indigo2 at Londons Millenium Dome was the most glamorous evening I can recall for some time. This grand ocassion happened on Friday 20th June 2008.

Fluffy and I met the adorable Jonathon Brosnan, Gari`s manager only last year at Park Lane when we were special guests of Miss Susie Warner at UNICEFS grand masked Ball, October 26th 2007.

We instantly became friends and Gari sang at Unicef. Such a lovely man, Gari has no show about him, a sweet gentle man with propbably the most powerful operatic voices here today.

Read more about Gari under the next photo of the Millenium Dome.

Fluffy and I were special VIP guests of lovely Jonathon.

We stayed in Canary Wharf in the most magnificent hotel, namely The Brittanica International Hotel where we had the most luxurious room on the tenth floor with a view looking across Canary Wharf and the Thames.

Fluffy and I have never been so happy and we were treated like Royalty and we had a chauffer driven top of the range black Jaguar to take us to Indigo2. Read more under the following photograph.

There's a little story behind this photo. See how that girl is waving in my direction? She didn't seem to want any journalists or anyone else with a camera to come near her and the rest of her group. I found that very strange, considering that everyone was so camera-happy there. I tuned her out, took pictures, and moved on. Later, while I was walking around taking photos, a young man came up to me and asked if anyone had tried to "prevent" me from taking pictures. if so, I should tell him and he would take care of it. I told him I hadn't encountered any problems, and that if anyone had been trying to stop me, I hadn't noticed. He was glad to hear it. It ended up that he was a member of MoveOn.org. They were watching over the protests, because they had heard that there was some corruption and dissent in the ranks taking place among some of the OWS protesters. Some also had had issue with the media, and didn't want them around. But that didn't last very long. Zuccotti Park. 1 Liberty Plaza. Liberty Square. OWS. This photo is part of a photo series that tells the visual story of my trip to Zuccotti Park on this day. Each photo in the series contributes meaning and significance to the story. Lane County Gypsy Moth Eradication Program (mid-1980s):

The Oregon Department of Agriculture is the lead agency for the gypsy moth detection program in Oregon. Agencies involved in the eradication program included the Oregon Department of Agriculture, USDA APHIS, USDA Forest Service, Oregon Department of Forestry, and private timber companies.

Three gypsy moths were initially detected in 1982 in the town of Lowell in west-central Oregon. These moths were caught in pheromone-baited traps during surveys conducted annually by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. In 1983, four more moths were caught in Lowell. After the trapping program was intensified in 1984, over 19,000 moths were caught in or near Lowell.

In the late spring of 1985, 226,045 acres were treated with Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki. Later that fall, the intensive trapping program identified additional infested areas in the same general area. Followup treatments with Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki were applied in 1986 (189,011 acres), 1987 (7,235 acres), and 1988 (2,995 acres). In addition to the aerial application of biological insecticides, State and federal quarantines were established in 1985 covering ~1,200 square miles to prevent people from moving gypsy moths out of the infested area. No further treatments were required after 1988. The total cost of the Lane County eradication program (including detection, eradication, and trapping) from 1984 to 1989 was about $18,000,000.
