This is Rathmalana Locomotive Works in Sri Lanka, on the left is one of the British built Class M7s number 813. This good looking 1000hp locomotive was constructed by Brush in Loughborough in 1980 and is powered by a GM EMD 645 . All the parts to rebuild her are scattered around the floor like some massive mechanical Jigsaw. To the right is a Class M11 number 957 built in the Banaras works in Varanasi in India. 10 were supplied to Sri Lanka in 2018 with EMD 12 cylinder 710 engines.

I shipped my M7 off to Leica Wetzlar nearly a year ago for CLA and an MP finder upgrade. No idea when I'll see it again. Unable to go any longer without a 35mm film rangefinder [with a meter] I recently succumbed and picked up this mint MP from a seller in Bangkok I've had good luck with. Anyway who got some Portra?
