For the Mecha City Project

I called this "Doom bug" at BF09. That was one of the names I came up with. However I like Olympus Defence mecha better. A kind of tribute to one of my favorite manga works; Project Appleseed by Shiro Masemune.

This took about a month to build and is rather big. As you can see it stands on its own.

coming soon from Monster Worship.com

WIP mecha used to transport gas and oil and suminister to other mecha...

Had Horizon Zero Down (and a bit of Metal Gear Solid) in mind when I made this.

What do you get when you mix a 10405 Mission to Mars with a bunch of ball-joints? An upscale minifig, of course!

I'm using the name Bob simply because the standard minifigure is the same as the one of a similar name featured in Lego Universe. The Mecha part is obvious.

Apologies for the sub-par photography, I've resorted to using my phone (an iPhone 5S) and a quickly made cardboard lightbox to make use of the beautiful weather we're having at the moment. Business as usual will follow suit (hopefully).

It's not that obvious, but this kind of mecha is my favourite. Anime like Patlabor, FMP!, Aldnoah Zero and other "real robot" series shaped up my taste. I really enjoy creating such mecha, yet I don't do this often. Maybe that's why I value every single successful attempt even more.

The huge mecha MS JE06 Jebat fit in nicely within the Hangar No.5 bay. Maintenance crews is busy working with their own duty and fixing the mecha data. Two Mechanical arms is currently operating from the beam post on top and the other two more is working from the wall panel. ABL Boom lifts is preparing to fetch the pilot from the cockpit. It's indeed a busy scene here.

Well it reminds me of the Scrin Shock Trooper.

I hate photographing the color black

PHLUG 50 MOCs of Grey No 31 Bear Mecha Suit by Bert

Name: Fira

Type: Speed

Pilot: Alejandra Rivas

Special Ability: Nitro!

Description: Fira is a mecha designed for speed and high torque, built by a pair of brothers, they come from different car racing backgrounds, they each belonged to mechanic from rally and drag racing teams, and they have build a machine that has the top speed of a drag racer but the power of a rally car.

Alejandra was chosen to pilot Fira due to her amazing reflexes and reckless driving, which is ideal for this beast of a mecha.

- Build Notes -

I wanted to do a mecha that had fire coming out of its exhausts, one that looked like it could go fast as hell, and well, I hope it looks that way, all I know is that I like it. And the color combination looks cool, used some new stickers I got, which add some details that look great. Well now to the next build…

So, do you like it? Leave a comment, and remember; you can participate on the MRL here:

A mecha based upon the villains of Nexo Knights. They deserve their own cool vehicles, too!

The base of my kits that I use for my mecha *wink wink*

Just fiddling around with a Cold War-esque mecha. Started out as being for Mobile Frame Zero, but it is a little too large (in my view, others might not think so.) Still in 7-plate scale, though. Based loosely on the skeleton of this.

The L27 mobile anti-tank gun was introduced into British service in 1959, primarily to provide rapid anti-tank capability against Soviet forces attacking through the Fulda Gap.

Armed with a slightly updated version of the WW2 era 6-pounder Molins Gun and a folding-fin version of the Malkara missile, the L27 was intended to replace towed AT guns operated by the Royal Artillery.

Although it never saw combat use in its intended environment, the vehicle was used in the Konfrontasi in Malaysia/Indonesia and during the Aden Emergency. In both cases, it was manifestly unsuited to the environments it was asked to work in. Some Australian units in Malaysia achieved slight success in replacing the 6-pounder gun with jury rigged cannon from disabled combat aircraft (most frequently the quad 30mm ADEN gun pack from crashed Hawker Hunters.)

Heavily upgraded in the 1970s, the unit received an improved sensor package (the valve technology sensor turret of the 1950s was rugged but bulky), the obsolete Malkaras were replaced with Swingfire missiles, and a Martin-Baker 0 0 ejection seat for the pilot was added. The last L27 squadron was disbanded shortly after the end of the 1990-91 Gulf War.

Inspired by HAWKEN (game)

Had this as a sketch for a long time and finally got around to it.

An armless mech. I`m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially the legs.

Inspired by Color.

Slightly inspired by Halo. Just kind of messing around with a random leg design, and some of my new Brickarms.

Couldn't get that good of a picture of this guy, maybe I'll retake it some time.

I'm going to be entering Bio-Cup so I won't be posting for awhile.

PineConeEagleMan you better post that shake weight soon.

Ascendant Lords - KGKE

Classification: Long Range

Probably one of the stranger reFrames currently still in service, the Tiger is believed to be an old-world tank stripped apart and reassembled unto a reFrame base. No one knows exactly how it was engineered but it works surprisingly well as mobile artillery. Literally, a tank on legs.

Built for BMD's TankHead challenge back in 2019. This build is originally a design by amazing concept artist Emerson Tung and is part of his TankHead series. I remade it into my reFrame series, sticking to the design as accurately as possible while still retaining and using my original mecha frame. A huge congratulations to Emerson for getting this made into a toy (more info over at his social media accounts about this :D).

More of Emerson and his artworks over at his Artstation.

For those interested in LEGO mech building, I also have an eBook from 2015 called Mech Wars 2015 Instructional Primer. It contains some things I wrote about basic mech building, a bit about my Mech Warsuniverse, and all my early models from 2014-2015. If you’re looking for a resource that could help you start or even improve your mech building skills, you might find this eBook useful.

I’ve managed to fit in the scissor lift with a manual push technic parts from behind to lift the lift up. Lots of work here and with this rate I think I will be working almost a year or half for this 6 diorama sets. Noted that the floor design with slopes is inspire by Lu Sim and the scissor lift by Devid 7.

More simple frame with minimum pieces. (89 pieces without a minifigure)

gave it some new shoulder armor.

Was proud of the hands on this one.
