Our primary midwife Nadia is the one who came to our house during labour and caught Max, very successfully bringing him into the world. Things were a bit "chaotic" at that time and at the home visits, so here's our first pictures with Nadia and Max together. Thank you Nadia!
This was never going to be a great shot, at ISO 800 and f2.5 into the sun.
Still I think it captures his spirit really well.
People assume he is old because of his white eyebrows and beard, but he certainly doesn't act old!!
He belongs to Ali's gran and is a Patterdale terrier cross, we think about 8? He was a rescue dog so don't know for sure.

Our two companions. Kassie, to the right, is the alpha dog of our household. She keeps all of us in line with her demands and shenanigans. Max, as well as my husband and I, have settled with the idea that whatever makes Kassie happy makes the rest of us happy! We all work hard at maintaining her princess status--just ask her!
