This photo is blurred and not edited, but I loved the expression on my grandson's face as he is watching the basketball.
Taken by my dad.
Should of course read "Max Spielmann". Someone should really go back and steal the final "N". :-)
Chattanooga (April 22, 2008) - Rookie Max Ferguson smacked a clutch double off a 3-2 pitch with two runners on base and two outs in the bottom of the last inning to drive home the game-winning runs in a wild 13-12 victory over the Braves Tuesday night at Rivermont Park in Chattanooga. Ferguson finished the game 3 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBIs as the Royals won their first game of the season in the Rivermont 7-8 age division.

My parents were inducted as elders to their church, Oakhills Church, in San Antonio Texas. Their church is nice, and Max Lucado is a giant in the Christian community. David Robinson from the Spurs also teaches here now and again. Both Max and David baptized me in a river which was a lifetime dream of mine.
It was kind of fun watching dad's face all glowing- even though it looked like the Republican National Convention up there. I know he wishes I went more often, and I am very happy for him... but my path to God is different than his path... and he just doesn't get that.

How awesome is this picture? The water, the sand, the boy, the grandpa... the sun (and I didn't take it so I'm not tootin' my own horn or nothin').
This was taken way back in October 6, 2018, during the qualifying session of the FIA Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix held in the legendary Suzuka Circuit!
It took awhile to post all the pics from the race and my trip in Japan, but here's hoping I get to post them all before the end of the year lol
Here we have Max Verstappen driving the RB14 for the Red Bull Racing team.
It was a mixed condition session where it was very cloudy and inevitably rained. But I came prepared with a DSLR rain cover and my very own Suzuka edition rain poncho!

Max isn't the most willing of subjects, but he is kind and occasionally after much refusing or being unable to sit for this reason or that will present himself . . . and he appeared in my office a few minutes before 4pm with the sun streaming in (northwest facing) and we had a terrible job with blinds and the light in general. Maybe we shouldn't do this, he suggested, I haven't shaved! So this is the best that could be achieved with natural light. Thanks, Max
Max the cat likes pacifiers. He likes them a LOT. He will even jump up into the crib to retrieve a pacifier that he believes will be especially delicious, then hop down and slink away somewhere that allows him to gnaw the end off of the pacifier nipple. Other than this, he is a really nice cat. But damn. These pacifiers are too expensive to be cat toys!
