This was the second of Kristin Prather's series of Science and Math Workshops at the library. They are for Intermediate School students to learn basic math and science concepts through FUN activities and demonstrations. They will get to make rockets, search the stars, and test mind-boggling physics theories. Let's not forget playing math games!

All workshops are in the Activity Room in the Friendswood Public Library.
While visiting Ludzi Girls Secondary School, I came across the same math books we used 20 years ago! Even though they aren't using them, they haven't thrown them away.
Evelyn is a trooper with her homework, hardly ever complaining. She's pretty good at math, if I may say so myself. Plus, she looks extra intelligent wearing her glasses.
Middle school students in math class attempted to flip a water bottle and have it land upright. Each bottle contained controlled amount of liquid. The collected data was used to determine the statistically optimal amount of water in a bottle to land on its base. (Photo by Todd Race)
