Day 8

As the story of our life started.

Summer 1978 at the Wörthersee, Carinthia. She, a young student from Upper Austria and me.

I was working during my holidays on a campground, she spent her holidays there. An exciting and wonderful time started and some weeks later we spent our first commen vacation on the island of Hvar in former Yugoslavia.

And we liked to play chess and mastermind as seen on the photo above.

Ich arbeitete während der Ferien als Campingwart am See, sie machte mit ihrer Freundin Urlaub. Eine aufregende und herrliche Zeit begann und Wochen später verbrachten wir

unseren ersten gemeinsamen Urlaub im ehemaligen Yugoslawien auf der Insel Hvar.

Und wir spielten auch Mastermind wie hier auf dem Foto.

anyone remember the game fom the 70's......well you can play the big version now in Silverdale.

Searching the shelves in our basement laundry/storage room, I came upon a little box of plastic, multicolored board game pegs. The game board that they belonged to was nowhere in site. Still, I instantly recognized them as pieces from a board game. While my wife and I both had vague recollections of playing a game with these pieces, neither of us could immediately dredge up the name of the game. Fortunately, with the help of a little internet sleuthing, we were finally able to pin it down to MASTERMIND.
