"Just one question: What if we miss?"
"I won't."
The "Last Spartan". Sierra 117. John. Whatever you call him, you better be ready to hand him your gun or else he'll take it from you. I've recently became a fan of Halo about 2 years ago when I first got an Xbox. I was very interested in the story and played through all five games and Reach. This past week, I bought a few Halo books and this guy. He finally came and I just love it! The armor is a bit off from his current look, but it's still a fantastic minifigure!
First Kratos now The Master Chief. Who will be the next video game character?
Watch the animated GIF in the first comment! :D
Great Lego Jedi Masters sometimes come in small packages ;) We wanted to build an Iron Builder entry that used an exceedingly low piece count (22 pieces), where every piece had it's place. We are hoping to show that not every build needs to be a detailed monolith, to have an impact :P
This mini Jedi was built for our Iron Builder against the Erickson brothers
HMS Suprise - 24 gun British Frigate. The ship was used in the 2003 movie Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.
From Wikipedia:
HMS Surprise is a modern tall ship, built at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada as Rose in 1970 to a Phil Bolger design based on the original 18th-century British Admiralty drawings. She is a replica of HMS Rose, a 20 gun sixth-rate frigate built in 1757.
The ship was inspected and certified by the United States Coast Guard and operated as a sail training vessel in the 1980s and 1990s, run by the HMS Rose Foundation based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States. Although she is known by the national prefix HMS, meaning Her (or His) Majesty's Ship, she is not technically entitled to it as she does not hold a royal warrant.
She was sold to the 20th Century Fox film studio in 2001 to be used in the making of the film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, in which she portrayed the Royal Navy frigate Surprise with a story based on several of the books by Patrick O'Brian. After the film was complete, the ship was leased and then purchased by the Maritime Museum of San Diego which has restored her to sailing condition as of September 2007. The ship has officially been reregistered as HMS Surprise in honour of her role in the film. She sails several times a year, often with the museum's other tall ships, the schooner Californian and the 1863 barque Star of India. In 2010, she portrayed HMS Providence in the Disney adventure film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Today I picked up Pohatu, Kopaka, and the Protectors of Ice and Fire. Fantastic parts packs. I decided to build some characters using only parts from those sets. These were the first attempts.

Always take care of your tools and they will never fail you. Doesn’t really matter if your sword is made of bamboo … it is actually better, cheaper than steal, more eco-friendly and you don’t even risk to harm somebody!

Self-portrait in the style of Jan Lievens "Portrait of the Artist's Mother" 1629.

Jan Lievens was a friend of Rembrandt and they shared a studio... and perhaps the original model for this painting. Unfortunately, I did not have any models this week, and had to be satisfied with posing myself!
love the calming approach of large format...
here my good friend Kevin goes about his routine with a polished finese that i find very
soothing and meditative....
1940 or 41 Chevy Master Deluxe abandoned in the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, CA.
Going back to 1919 The Alabama Hills have been a popular filming location for television and movie productions, especially Westerns with hundreds of movies having been shot there.
I've done some digging to see if I can link this car to a movie shot in the area, but I've had no luck beyond identifying the car.
