Black straw, velvet band and edge, flowered with some strawberries, silk veiling. Michael Chanda was a big name hat designer in NY. From my private collection of vintage hats. This week's theme is flowers for spring.

The Tiffany clock and holiday decorations at the Marshall Field's (Macy's) on State St. in Chicago. I'd have gotten some shots of the window displays but the wind was making for quite a brisk day and I just wanted to get back inside.

Along with my SLR, I brought the Sony FD73 (0.3MP) with for a little show-and-tell.

The camera has a specific "Picture Effect" button. This is one of the options! How novel. :)

The Disney Store is on my left. The glass wall allows such fun shots by doubling the image. The Marshall Field's Great Clock is ahead, attached to the Macy's downtown Chicago store building.

This is a recreation of the famous cover of the Saturday Evening Post by artist Norman Rockwell. It show a timekeeper making sure it was keeping time. Today, the clock is tied into a GPS system, and is suppose to eliminate people perceiving the wrong time, sometimes on both clocks.
