The Vanguard of Computation
This collection of portraits presents the people who are defining the limits and reach of computation
Margaret Marrs did research using the worlds first computer, the EDSAC. Pictured here in front of the old door of the Computer Laboratory which was then called the Mathematical Laboratory.
Music on the Marr brings together international and local artists to perform over four days in the village of Castle Carrock, near Brampton. It’s now in its ninth year and visitors will be able to enjoy live acts in four village venues. Real music by real musicians, real comedy by truly funny people and real ale by local brewers.

Marr Creek Falls located off Us Hwy 19. On route 82 in Fayetteville, WVA
Take a left off us Hwy 19 to rte 82, The road is 2 way traffic for only 1 mile, then you will pull into a gravel parking lot, park your car then walk down the road less than a 1/4 mile you will follow the creek and see the falls on the left. I climbed down with gear and took the fabulous shot. Getting down to the falls is very trick without proper equipment. There are more falls further down the creek but time would not allow me to get to them.Marr Creek is one of many creeks that tumbles into the New River Gorge. It drops about 400 feet in its final 1000 feet, with one big drop of over 30 feet, and many smaller drops and lots of rapids. The falls from the oppostie side of the river is amazing but I will have to go back later to get that shot.
