History Timeline
Penshurst Place has been owned by the Sidney family since 1552; after passing through the hands of two of Henry IV's sons, followed by Henry VIII who used it as a hunting lodge. Given to Anne of Cleves as part of her divorce settlement from Henry VIII, it was then briefly in the hands of Sir Ralph Fane and was finally gifted by Henry VIII's son, Edward VI, to his loyal steward and tutor, SIR WILLIAM Sidney.
This map represents the study area for the poverty mapping project for West Africa for generation of reliable statistical and cartographic products to communicate the relationship between rural poverty and land use potential in West Africa, in order to provide information to ensure optimal use of research investment.

It's used to prove a point on my blog pertaining to the Bay City Mapping Project that will be unleashed by October 2009. (well thats the first map to be revealed, unless I fast work the maps) - [this has been cancelled for the moment, but It will still happen].

Finally determined that there will be 13 maps in the Bay City Mapping Project.
Ski maps for Lutsen, Minnesota. Our vacation location was located at the Gondola Base Area on Eagle Mountain, so you can see that we had spectacular views from our condo windows. My wife and I did manage to walk to the bottom of the valley (and, oh, puff, puff) back up again. I just wanted to take photos of the mountains from different angles.

The area roughly represented by the table is here shown outlined in black. The main geographic features are the village of Wolfsdorf (mostly off the table), the town of Goldberg and the road net converging on it, and a large wooded hill called the Flensberg, just to the southeast of the town. Lauriston's V Corps is advancing boldly on Goldberg, expecting no resistance since Yorck's 1st Prussian Corps was last observed withdrawing northwards in some haste.
