Ski maps for Lutsen, Minnesota. Our vacation location was located at the Gondola Base Area on Eagle Mountain, so you can see that we had spectacular views from our condo windows. My wife and I did manage to walk to the bottom of the valley (and, oh, puff, puff) back up again. I just wanted to take photos of the mountains from different angles.
Finally, a real headbadge! I wanted to do this from the beginning, and now I'm happy to say that each MAP bicycle from here on out will have it's own polished stainless steel headbadge. These are right out of the box from the laser cutter and still need polishing and then they will be etched with the MAP text below the fleur de lis.

As an ongoing fascination with making fake map-looking things in Excel via formatted pivot tables, here's one showing wildfires in the US.

The area roughly represented by the table is here shown outlined in black. The main geographic features are the village of Wolfsdorf (mostly off the table), the town of Goldberg and the road net converging on it, and a large wooded hill called the Flensberg, just to the southeast of the town. Lauriston's V Corps is advancing boldly on Goldberg, expecting no resistance since Yorck's 1st Prussian Corps was last observed withdrawing northwards in some haste.
I went a bit out of my way to walk to the Cincinnati Art Museum. It's easy to break six miles when you get lost in a city park and are trying to navigate a small residential "mountain"!

I scanned this in May so will have to go dig out the book to get the publisher's information.

Historical treasures from the earliest settlements to the Njegoš Mausoleum on top of the mountain Lovcen: yes, naturally! Our varied history left its tracks from the Roman buildings that are still used as venues up to the fortifications built by the Habsburg realm – with a breathtaking view of the unique Bay of Kotor with its fascinating heart. Follow the Adriatic coastline south to the charming medieval village Budva and to the largest beach near Ulcinj: there is a lot waiting to be discovered. But we would like to induce you also to explore the interior of the country: the historical royal town Cetinje is just north of Budva. A very interesting excursion would be a trip to the Ostrog Monastery, where miracles are said to happen even today.
And you ought to meet the Montenegrin mountain people, too. Throughout our diverse history they learned to valiantly repulse invaders of all kinds – and to receive welcome guests with genuine hospitality. Do look them up in the scattered alpine cottages and experience a visit to friends.
Who will enjoy a holiday in Montenegro? Sunbathers and beach runners, adventurers and discoverers, fans of day- and nightlife, nature lovers and people looking for places of spiritual power: as a matter of fact, everybody.

The blue Marines plane, far left, is a one-third scale Corsair – a gull wing fighter with a large radial engine • acepilots.com/planes/f4u_corsair.html is a mandatory read about the many Corsair problems that occurred aboard Navy aircraft carriers, and, in flight. Their mechanics, ground crew and pilots were tough!
The two tan objects, right, that look like a large outhouse/shed and doghouse, are a single object – the 1908 Martin towable glider. The largest object is the wing structure, with a tube fuselage below, and a foot-steerable nosewheel at the right end of the second row of wedding tables. The smaller doghouse is the tail group. Both are covered in tan canvas over steel or wood framework. It's suspended from the ceiling, near my camera, and appears overly large compared to the pano's farther objects... www.flickr.com/photos/mathersteve/15963759849/ is my artsy-fartsy image from 2009, taken from the hangar floor with the Martin more centrally located in the ceiling. These turtles were basking but not in the sun due to the cool and cloudy day. Still must be warmer than the water.
This map, on a larger scale, shows the individual streets in Bradford. It was still a small place with fields almost to the centre of town. The population the previous year was 6393. Manningham Lane has been built and the Bradford Canal with its wharves near the Parish Church is now shown
