What’s really exciting is that now you can select multiple layers from multiple sources for your custom map. Let’s add in two more layers from MapBox - the full World Light baselayer and a new DC Bright baselayer.
We are looking for feedback on the UI that we have just designed.
The idea is built around a quick, two step process:
1) All you need to do is type in a location, whether it is a specific address like “1708 Kilbourne Place Washington DC” or a place like “New York, USA,” and hit search – it uses the same search as Google maps.
2) Google will find the location on the map and auto populate the latitude and longitude. Then hit ‘add’ and you are done. (If you forget to hit add it will automatically be added when you publish the post.)

The installation "Mapping the city" is a structural chain of a number of furniture objects and scale-models, lined up as a long straight street. The furniture objects are placed side by side like a row of houses to form one city grit.By this arrangement the furniture as object is no longer experienced as autonomous identities, but as a part of one sculptural installation.

Instead of listening, I took this photo. "Are you listening to me," she asked. Of course I was!
"Ummm, I can take either the chuo line to yotsuya and then change to the namboku line or I can take the marunouchi line without transferring!"
I am so proud of myself.
Definitions of mapping on the Web:
- the study of the position of genes on chromosomes.
- the process of making one image conform to the size, shape, and/or texture of another image. See also Bump mapping, Displacement mapping, and Environment mapping.
This screenshot shows an example of relief mapping. The floor is actually made up of 4 vertices! It has a grayscale heightmap and the shader displaces pixels to create the illusion of relief.
