Nina Hamilton, MEM’17 (ESC) - I spent my summer being welcomed with open arms by groups of men and women in Gabon's rural, forested communities, watching as they turned 20 blank pieces of poster paper into 20 incredible community maps representing the natural resources that they value. I am using social science and participatory tools to helping communities get a seat at the table in environmental decision making. I am Duke Environment.
