Life is so hard when you are 6!
I was playing with the exposure wheel to try and darken the image to show Eve having a good old sulk
This is a REALLY old manual cultivator we found in the ground at my house when we first moved here. In the early 1900s and maybe possibly before there where my house is now was nothing but farms as the eye could see and there are a lot of old farming equipment buried in the ground around the area.
In my own backyard, there is an entire car buried in the ground. Looks like something from the 30s. Crazy!
This old cultivator we saved and use it as decoration.
Illustrations compiled from Neon Signs and Cold-Cathode Lighting, by Samuel C. Miller, Tubelite Co., 2nd Edition, 1963 (1st Edition, 1935). Collection of Letterform Archive.
I assume this to be the most comprehensive technical manual on neon ever published. Subsequent reprints are easy to track down and it makes a great companion to Neon: A Light History, by Dydia DeLyser and Paul Greenstein, which was just released last month.

I seldom use anything else than manual depending ofcourse what the purpose is however it took me long enough to figure everything out going from analog to digital.
Right now, in my part of Sweden we have the worsed possible photoweather. Rain Rain rain and ofcourse snow that melts and everything is grey and muddy,
I actually overexposed this image a litte just to get the magic orange color this typical ( for this region ) willowtrees has this time of year.

This 5 1/2 by 7 inch pamphlet was published c. 1900. I posted a scan of one page of hand shadows in 2008 and it has proved very popular. I have been asked to post additional pages. I recently found it and have scanned all the pages including the manual alphabet.

This is my first small collage 7x10. I do not use any digital magic, just my trusty scissors and adhesive applied with brush. All the images used are photos that I personally took. Prints of my collages are for sale
I thought I knew my Mercedes Benz Tourismos but I learnt today that some of the earliest ones have a manual gearbox, just how many I couldn't say but surely only very few. Gibbons D22 GCH was new to Souls of Olney as BD57 WDJ and retains the colours of Stephensons, Mexborough. It s seen at Sherborne School today, 16th March, 2024.
This is my collection of manual focus lenses, most of which I use regularly.
back row: Tair-3 300/4.5, Carl Zeiss 180/2.8, Pentacon 200/4, Vivitar Series 1 70-210/3.5, 3M-5CA 500/8 (mirror), Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5 Bokina (with 1:1 adapter), Hartblei Super Rotator 45/3.5 Tilt Shift.
Middle row: Samyang 85/1.4, Carl Zeiss 135/3.5, Nikon 105/4 micro, Arsat 35/2.8 Shift, Samyang 8/3.5 fisheye, Jupiter-9 85/2.
Front row: Helios 44-3 58/2, Carl Zeiss Flektogon 35/2.4, Helios 44-2 58/2, Nikon 50/1.2, Zenitar 16/2.8 fisheye, Nikon 55/3.5 micro, Vivitar 28/2.8 close focus.
I have collected these lens via eBay, charity shops, etc during the past 18 months. It all started with the Helios 44-2 58/2 which I bought for £15, it is a Russian copy of the Carl Zeiss Biotar 58/2.
Many of these lenses are better than their auto-focus counterparts, they really don't make them like this any more.
All lenses are used on the Canon 7D or Canon 5D Mkll.
