Música (abrir en nueva pestaña) / Music (Open link in new tab): Edith Piaf - Milord.

An Straight Out of the Camera capture of a Simca "Présidence" (1958) 1/43 scale metal model that I bought as a souvenir for my collection in the last National Meeting of classic and antique cars held at Albacete Fair, made with the Tamron Adaptall SP 90mm f / 2.5 Macro 52B manual focus lens, mounted on my Sony ILCE 5100.
The Simca Présidence was introduced in 1958, being the top-of-the-line model of the "Vedette" series, inherited from the acquisition of Ford France by Simca in 1954. This Présidence version featured a luxurious interior, a radiotelephone (a European first) and an exclusive continental kit (rear spare wheel). With the Présidence, Simca entered with its cars in the official retinues of the Elysée Palace.

I spent the majority of the 5 hours I had at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm last week digiscoping flight shots of Great Egrets using 1000mm and manual focus. The depth of field of my system is extremely narrow, but I've been working on BIF a lot more this last year, and although my keeper rate for these wasn't very high, but the results were very rewarding.
Turn clockwise for things far away, wait no, turn...would someone tell me why I bought this lens? Now were is my Fuji 18-55?
Thanh Da, Saigon. Along the Saigon River. I recently bought some TTArtisan lenses. Some find them 'imperfect', while, others, myself included, appreciate a bit of character.
When I first saw the blue on this bird's wing, I thought it was the blue skin they get during breeding, but it appears to be something that has been tied through his wing.
Digiscoped using manual focus.
Manual Focus & Focal Plane
Start off by placing the subject in the destination position and manual focus on it. This would establish the plane of focus and you could drop the subject anywhere along this plane during the actual shoot. Once this has been done, there would be no need for any further focusing unless there are adjustments to the camera position or zooming.
In my case, I've used the center of the fish tank as my focal plane so that it is easier to target a drop.
Shutter & Flash Sync Speed
The shutter speed was set to 1/320 to coincide with the flash sync speed set for my camera. This was when the final flash would go off, right before the shutter closes, capturing all the action and splash.
Flash and Rear Curtain Sync
The flash would need to go off right at the end of the exposure just before the shutter snaps shut..
Cable Release
A cable release or a remote would be useful so that you can be right beside the water tank, drop the subject and trigger the camera all at the same time.
It was unusually warm today, the day after Thanksgiving 2015, in northwest Litchfield County, Connecticut. Many insects hatched today. I captured this small fly on the side of the building. There is some compound eye detail visible in the large size. This is a real macro image in excess of 1:1 at the sensor. I slightly adjusted the exposure values in FastStone.
For this image, I used my manual focus Tamron Adaptall-2 Model 52BB SP 90mm f2.5 and Tamron Adaptall-2 01f 2X Flat Field Teleconverter and generic Pentax K bayonet Adaptall Mount and a Chinese-made Pentax K to Q adapter, all mounted on my original model Pentax Q Camera, hand held at the camera with the lens barrel resting on the building, manually focused by moving the entire assembly back and forth, Shake Reduction set to 180mm focal length, ISO 800, f5.6 on lens, 1/125 sec, with available ambient light. This full resolution Large JPEG was edited in FastStone and slightly adjusted to enhance the detail.
