The last three from our visit to Hellens Manor which apart from being an interesting morning, also produced a good haul of photos. The gardens have several sculptures, but no description, so I can't credit the sculptor.
The picture was taken using an infrared technique looking at the house from the Ha Ha wall and includes the 800 year old church that is next door.
Harlaxton Manor is an early Victorian country house close to the village of Harlaxton near Grantham in Lincolnshire. Building of the house was started in 1832 and was designed by the architect Anthony Salvin for the local squire Gregory Gregory. The house was mostly complete by 1837 and by this time Gregory had replaced Salvin with the Scottish architect William Burn who designed most of the interior of the house.
The house is built in a Gothic, Jacobean and Baroque style and has many sumptuous states rooms including a grand cedar staircase and a medieval style great hall. The house is now the UK base for the University of Evansville.

Waddesdon Manor is a country house in the village of Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire, England. Owned by National Trust and managed by the Rothschild Foundation.
The Grade I listed house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839–1898) as a weekend residence for entertaining and to house his collection of arts and antiquities. As the manor and estate have passed through generations of Rothschilds, the collection contained inside has grown and is among the most rare and valuable in the world. In 1957, James de Rothschild bequeathed the house and its contents to the National Trust, opening the house and gardens for the benefit of the general public.

This little statue stands near the back door, and looks like a very youthful classical character who has slain some beast.
