That lighthouse was built in 1906.
Visit: www.quebecmaritime.ca/en/company/la-martre-lighthouse-mus...
Dating from 1906 and still in operation, the La Martre Lighthouse has a unique wooden structure. In addition, the original timing system (cable and weights) still controls the light as it rotates in its pool of mercury.
A permanent exhibit in an adjacent building introduces you to the expertise involved, from the 1700s to today, in designing lighthouse lanterns and tells you more about the evolution of lighthouses and their importance to navigators.
Tour this museum with an enthusiastic guide and unravel the mysteries surrounding lighthouses. Come and discover a page of our maritime history! (Info from website)

This is a panoramic view of the Roman Arena at Nimes.
The ghost is taken from the statue of Emporor Trajan AD 98 - 117, which is near the Tower of London.
The effect was achieved by photo-editing and by colouring in a way that is not strictly historically true!.

Manannán may be an old god and mostly forgotten but interestingly still seen as a challenge to some. In 2015 extreme Christians felled the sculpture and dragged it away (it is heavy so they didnt get actually get it very far). They were offended by what they saw as Celtic idolatry- they "replaced" it with a wooden cross carved with the inscription “You shall have no other gods before me.”
Now repaired and re-erected under supervision of the sculptor.
This level of offence and reaction could probably only happen in Northern Ireland!

A shakuhachi (Japanese: 尺八, pronounced [ɕakɯhat͡ɕi]) is a Japanese longitudinal, end-blown flute that is made of bamboo. The bamboo end-blown flute now known as the shakuhachi was developed in Japan in the 16th century and is called the fuke shakuhachi (普化尺八). A bamboo flute known as the kodai shakuhachi (古代尺八, ancient shakuhachi) or gagaku shakuhachi (雅楽尺八) was derived from the Chinese xiao in the Nara period and died out in the 10th century. After a long blank period, the hitoyogiri shakuhachi (一節切尺八) appeared in the 15th century, and then in the 16th century, the fuke shakuhachi was developed in Japan. The fuke shakuhachi flourished in the 18th century during the Edo period, and eventually the hitoyogiri shakuhachi also died out. The fuke shakuhachi developed in Japan is longer and thicker than the kodai shakuhachi and has one finger hole less. It is longer and thicker than hitoyogiri shakuhachi and is superior in volume, range, scale and tone quality. Today, since the shakuhachi generally refers only to fuke shakuhachi, the theory that the shakuhachi is an instrument unique to Japan is widely accepted.
Prompt: A serene scene of a Japanese woman in a flowing, floral kimono playing a Shakuhachi bamboo flute beneath vibrant autumn leaves. Her long hair sways gently, Refined landscape with a touch of realism, this abstract composition on a canvas primed with acrylic primer utilizes fluid art techniques in multi-layered acrylic pours, incorporating gold, brown, pearl white, copper, bronze, and amber hues. The colors, pigments, and sand are layered carefully, each poured individually, using both Acrylic Pouring Dip and sandwich acrylic pours techniques to yield a background rich in depth and texture, with contrasting transitions and unique fluid patterns. At the bottom, a sandy, dirty-white layer adds an earthy texture, from which an abstract tree with a branched crown stretches upward, adorned with golden, copper, and amber autumn leaves rendered in the fluid art style. Delicate, expressive strokes scatter leaves across the canvas, achieving a surreal autumnal scene with vibrant, flowing movement against a stunning, abstract backdrop. Inspired by EmmAI on facebook.

Rannoch Moor as a place of wonder, one of the last really wild places in Scotland. Imagine a triangular area, stood on its apex, about 10 miles across its base and about 10 miles from top to bottom. Imagine that this 50 square mile inverted triangle is a roughly level plateau that sits at an altitude of a little over 1000ft. Imagine that its surface is dotted with innumerable lochs, lochans, peat bogs, and streams; that it is surrounded by mountains that rise to over 3000ft to the south-east and the west and to over 2000ft in the north. And, finally, imagine that this area is crossed by a railway line, running a little inside the south-east side of the triangle, and a single road, running a little inside the south-west side of the triangle. Congratulations: you've just invented Rannoch Moor.
Most people first see Rannoch Moor when driving north from Bridge of Orchy. Near Achallader the main road and the railway line diverge and the road makes a sweeping climb up to the Rannoch Moor plateau. What you find there can be a glory of heather and lochan surrounded by distant mountains. Or it can be a grey cloud-shrouded landscape through which you catch occasional glimpses of an other-worldly landscape. If Achallader marks the southern apex of Rannoch Moor's triangle, then the other two are equally distinctive. In the north-east lies Rannoch Station and the end of the public road in from Pitlochry, 40 miles to the east.

Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean.
Nature portrayed naturally, or, in other words,
NATURAL NATURE
(Exif data reported below in first comment).
Can you guess it it's a sunrise or a sunset??? (obviously without reading the Exif data)
For my Group PAREIDOLIA, here I see in the white cloud to the right a winged creature or, maybe, a much widened shadow of the seagull itself passing by, where its shadow is huge and white instead of dark...
Usually my equipment is a Canon Reflex (EOS 250D) and another important camera for 3D (threedimensional) photography + videography:
my belowed Fujifilm Real 3D (third and sadly last generation) that took me more than 2 years to find back in the market new & pristine allthough out of production.
But, I also have a "magic" camera, almost a toy one, that I call my cool blue magic cam: it's a Nikon Coolpix S33 in electric blue colour that I still use when I need to have a result exactly matching what my eyes "see". I used it for the shot above in 2018 that I faded in one of my videos but I publish it on Flickr for the very first time as a lil example of pure natural photography.
"When Nature gifts us with such generosity, there is absolutelly no need to manipulate a photo, it's sufficient to be able to photograph well with a little bit of artistic inspiration.
And the merit always goes to the Nature".

I used a program many astrophotographers use called PixInsight. There we can manipulate and stretch the data to tease out details that have been recovered by the sensor. This was my first time using Generalised Hyperbolic Stretching a free program in PixInsight that specifically target areas of data that you want bring out.
The next three images are Red channel, Blue, and Green. Enjoy! ✨
