Monasterio de la Concepción Bernarda, Almagro, Ciudad Real, Castilla-La Mancha, España.
Edificio construido en el S. XVII.
Como tantos otros conventos, se construye por mandas testamentarias de la familia Oviedo.
Estuvo ocupado por monjas bernardas, una rama del Cister, hasta la Desamortización de Mendizábal en 1835.
El convento fue subastado y derribado, construyéndose las actuales casas.
La iglesia se subastó igualmente, pero aún se mantiene en pie.
Fue pasando de mano en mano hasta llegar a su propietario actual, un constructor, quien la ha restaurado fielmente.
Se utiliza como sala de exposiciones, actos públicos y privados e igualmente es uno de los espacio teatrales del Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico.
La iglesia es de planta de cruz latina, con cúpula en el crucero.
La portada es adintelada y muy sencilla, con bolas en los extremos que flanquean una hornacina que contiene la imagen de San Bernardo.

Like many other convents, it was built by testamentary bequests of the Oviedo family.
It was occupied by Bernardine nuns, a branch of the Cistercian order, until the Confiscation of Church Property by Mendizábal in 1835.
The convent was auctioned off and demolished, and the current houses were built.
The church was also auctioned off, but it still stands.
It was passed from hand to hand until it reached its current owner, a builder, who has faithfully restored it.
It is used as an exhibition hall, for public and private events, and is also one of the theatre spaces of the International Classical Theatre Festival.
The church has a Latin cross plan, with a dome in the transept.
The doorway is lintelled and very simple, with balls at the ends flanking a niche containing the image of Saint Bernard.

So sieht im Moment leider der Restbetrieb auf dem ehemaligen sardischen Südnetz aus. Derzeit verkehren nur Züge zwischen Mandas und Isili. Eingesetzt werden diese extrem mit Grafitti beschmierten ADe. Früher habe ich mich über die Grafitti aufgeregt, jetzt bin ich froh, dass überhaupt noch ein Zug verkehrt. Noch ca. 1,5 km, dann hat der aus Isili kommender ADe den Bahnhof Mandas erreicht. Im Vordergrund zweigt das Streckengleis nach Arbatax von der Linie Mandas Sorgono ab.
The third of five collages highlighting the work of some of my favourite artists in specific genres, next up Stickers.
I first learnt about the importance and roots of the Sticker art scene on a street art walking tour of London in 2014.
More recently I have become friends with some Melbourne folk who are very much into the sticker scene. Many artists produce small self-adhesive stickers of their work, lots of people like to decorate books or their laptops or other objects with them. Many though end up on poles, walls, telephone boxes - anywhere on the street.
Some terms, often putting stickers up on the street is referred to as "sticker slapping". Putting many up in one area is "sticker bombing". There are a number of locations in Melbourne's streets that have been "sticker bombed" and they are really interesting.
In recent times I have been known to print some of my own artwork as stickers and place some in the streets. It is sort of cool when you see your own stickers featured on other people's Instagram feeds :-)

Als der ADe den letzten Bahnübergang vor Arbatax überquerte war das Licht wirklich fast aus. Die Wartezeit habe ich mir mit einem netten Gespräch mit dem Bahnübergangssicherungsposten vertrieben. Ich kann kein italienisch, er kein deutsch aber die Verständigung mit gebrochenem englisch und "Händen und Füßen" klappte mal wieder hervorragend. Dafür liebe ich die Sarden ... ein supernettes Volk !!!
