It's Friday and that means the weekend is around the corner and what is better than camping (apart from everything!)? How about watching movies about camping (preferably inside on a nice comfy chair!)? Here is this weeks movie list for the managers specials:

March 18 : I had to speak to a group of managers today.
(These "Buddy Talks" - that's what they call them - happen every 6 weeks and someone from one of the teams has to brief the managers from Head Office about what's going on with the department)
I had to wear a tie even though it's Friday and everyone else was in T-shirts etc...
-- This afternoon the communications manager (who has always been very nice to me but I don't have much dealings with her) came over to my desk and told me that some photos are on the X:\ drive from this morning if I want to see them.
--There were 117 photos in the folder she told me about but I could only access the first 10
-- When I mentioned it to her later she said that only a "selection" were "cleared for me to view"

Mine Hosts Nina and Don were superb managers at Umlani Game Reserve Lodge in South Africa and with Don being an Aeronautical Engineer and with Nina coming from a senior executive position in a multinational company and also being a top draw chef, together they had all bases covered. (especially Nina, dont you think ? :-) ) Sorry Don.
In short they knew what they were doing as managers of a big game tourist operation but at the same time giving individual attention to guests. A BIG effort. (Now (at the time of writing) the Managers of Tanda Tula Lodge close to Umlani)
