The Lower Turk’s Head pub in central Manchester, close to the Arndale Centre in the Northern Quarter, is one of the city’s oldest pubs dating back to 1745.
Thinking of my sweet gray asymmetrical boy's traits and fitting those to a probable and fitting day job....I know he would shine as a production manager...he likes his people to be in their places at expected times doing their routines. If not, there is the 'scowl' and verbiage and perfected body language. JAX keeps us in line! Happy Caturday to everyone.
While we were eating lunch by the pond, the whale boat's tail got caught in a pine branch on a small island in the pond. The crew pedaled desperately but could not escape. I asked my friend the boat manager to rescue them, and the whale boat was rescued safely. After a while, a crew member, mother and her son came to thank us.

Poor FaunaBot looking like a deer in the headlights dealing with both a frustrated manager (me) and a frustrated support tech on the phone all at once.
A poor quality photograph, but the only one I have since my hard disk fried. This is the wonderful Bryndyfi mine, another one of those white elephants which promised much and delivered... nothing. There's a range of buildings, a crusher house, a couple of buddle pits and a lovely tramway, plus this managers house.

Goodwood Revival is held every September over a 3 day period and everyone dresses up in period costume from the 40's, 50's and 60's. It is like stepping back in time. On site is Earls Court where there are themed displays of cars. This year, to celebrate the 60's and 60 years of the mini car, there was a re-enactment of a famous scene from the film The Italian Job, srarring Michael Caine. This was taken on the set. I was videoing the action when the Floor Manager came over. I quickly stopped the video and captured this cheeky portrait of the Floor Manager between shots.

I'm gonna take you on a stroll down memory lane. But is it true?
I went to this air show because the B29 was going to be there and I'd never seen a B29. It was the bomber that ended World War II.
Here's the story....
My uncle was in the Army Air Corps in World War II and was the manager of the Officers' Club at Wendover Air Base. Wendover was where the 509th Composite Group was trained. This was the unit that dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki using B29s. I don't recall what triggered my uncle bragging about this, but in any event he claimed that, in his role as OC manager, he met many of the major figures on the Manhattan project including Robert Oppenheimer. And it makes sense. Oppenheimer probably DID go to the base a couple of times when they were training. And he probably DID hang out in the officers' club. And, my uncle, being a "hail fellow well met" kind of guy, would probably make it a point to meet the VIPs at the club.
I don't know how much of this story is braggadocio on the part of my uncle, or my memory playing tricks, but my motto is to never let the facts stand in the way of a good story.

Ha affrontato nuovamente Nicola Pietro Ciriani (Pugilistica Udinese). Il match era inserito nell’edizione 2018 del ventinovesimo memorial Mario Vecchiatto - ex campione italiano dilettanti e professionisti e detentore anche del titolo continentale.
Per la cronaca Abatangelo è uscito sconfitto ai punti....probabilmente non ha ascoltato a dovere i suggerimenti impartitagli dal suo solerte coach.
