Germany. Tübingen is the town with its Eberhard Karls University where the later german Pope Benedict XVI was a professor years ago.
The yellow building with the tower is the "Hölderlinturm". Friedrich Hölderlin was a german poet. The building is located on the Neckar riverfront. The photo was shot from a little island in the Neckar river. Canon 600D. Lens EF-S10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM. Stiching of 9 images.

That's what happens when you plan on grocery shopping - mist slowly creeping up the hills and mountains... Didn't do any grocery shopping at all. Was so fascinated by the sight that all I could do was snap away ;-). There's more to come - even though I may bore you with my winter captures.

Schon einige Male habe ich versucht, eine vernünftige Darstellung dieses Ortes zu bekommen. Dieses Mal war es endlich so weit, dass ich tolle Bedingungen vorgefunden habe.
Zu sehen ist heute der inzwischen stillgelegte Schiefersteinbruch in Lehesten. Er zählte seinerzeit zu einem der größten Schiefertagebaue des europäischen Festlandes. Das Areal ist heute ein Naturschutzgebiet und einfach malerisch, ganz besonders jetzt im Herbst! Auf dem Rundwanderweg um den gefluteten Graben habe ich mich direkt in die Aussicht verliebt! Wow! Rechts im Bild an der Felswand sieht man im übrigen einen freigelegten Berbauschacht... ;)
Ps.: Heute ist Tag 3, drum wünsch ich mir den Herbst herbei! :D

Today you can see the slate quarry in Lehesten, which has been shut down in the meantime. At that time it was one of the largest open cast slate mines on the European mainland. Today the area is a nature reserve and simply picturesque, especially now in autumn! On the circular hiking trail around the flooded ditch I fell in love with the view! Wow! On the right side of the picture on the rock face you can see an exposed mining shaft... ;)
Ps.: Today is day 3, so I wish for autumn! :D (In German the saying has rhymed - lol)

Ich bin ja immer wieder begeistert von der wunderschönen Altstadt in Görlitz. Motive über Motive.Es sieht einfach alles malerisch aus. Hier seht Ihr den Kirchturm der Dreifaltigkeitskirche.
I am always amazed by the beautiful old town in Görlitz. Motifs over motifs. Everything just looks picturesque. Here you can see the church tower of the Holy Trinity Church.

Von Westen her schiebt sich Loch na Keal weit in die Insel hinein. Dadurch gibt es nur eine schmale Landbrücke zum Sound of Mull. Die Küstenstreifen vom Loch na Keal sind malerisch schön und wild. Schottland von seiner schönsten Seite.
Loch na Keal pushes far into the island from the west. As a result, there is only a narrow land bridge to the Sound of Mull. The coastline of Loch na Keal is picturesquely beautiful and wild. Scotland at its most beautiful.

Exactly one year ago today, Monschau, a gem in the Northern Eifel region, was the place to be. While day visitors literally overrun the town on nice days, in the evenings, you have this picturesque place almost to yourself (photo taken at 10:25 p.m.).
Heute genau vor einem Jahr in Monschau, das Kleinod in der Nordeifel. Während bei schönem Wetter Tagesbesucher die Stadt förmlich überrennen hat man abends diesem malerischen Ort fast für sich allein (das Bild von 22:25 Uhr).
🇫🇷 L'origine du village remonte à 1725. Pittoresque avec ses maisons blanches disposées en amphithéâtre, il est dominé par la très belle église Sainte-Marie agrémentée d'un joli campanile. La promenade dans les ruelles étroites, bordées de maisons typiquement corses, est vraiment agréable.Avec quatre cent cinquante habitants en hiver, Piana devient, à l'heure d'été, un point de convergence important pour les vacanciers. Les plages d'Arone et de Ficaghjola sont littéralement prises d'assaut chaque année. Bien qu'en bord de mer Piana est perchée à 500 mètres d'altitude, est classé en zone rurale.

Das alte Gebäude der Raths-Apotheke in Lauenburg fügt sich malerisch ein in das Gesamtensemble von Lauenburgs historischer Altstadt. Erst im Frühjahr 1990 wurde die traditionsreiche Raths-Apotheke der Elbestadt Lauenburg geschlossen.

Eigentlich wollte ich nur mal ganz kurz und schnell den neuen Graufilter (ND 3.0/1000) ausprobieren – und habe dabei seine künstlerische Ader entdeckt ;-) Der Wind gab zusätzlich sein Bestes dazu. Ich habe nur etwas an den Farben gedreht und aufgehellt ...
Das Kloster Rehna ist eine der bedeutendsten erhaltenen Klosteranlagen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und liegt malerisch in der Stadt Rehna, nordwestlich von Schwerin. Es wurde 1237 als Benediktinerinnenkloster gegründet und später von Prämonstratenserinnen übernommen. Bis zur Säkularisation 1552 war es ein bedeutendes religiöses und kulturelles Zentrum der Region. Die Klosteranlage beeindruckt durch ihre spätromanische Backsteinkirche mit einem markanten Rundbogenportal. Erhalten sind zudem drei Flügel des Kreuzgangs, das sogenannte „Lange Haus“ mit dem ehemaligen Gästerefektorium und Gerichtssaal sowie ein stimmungsvoller Klostergarten, der 2004 neu angelegt wurde.

The Rehna Monastery is one of the most significant preserved monastic complexes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is picturesquely situated in the town of Rehna, northwest of Schwerin. It was founded in 1237 as a Benedictine nunnery and was later taken over by Premonstratensian nuns. Until its secularization in 1552, it was an important religious and cultural center of the region.
The monastic complex impresses with its late Romanesque brick church, featuring a distinctive round-arched portal. Also preserved are three wings of the cloister, the so-called “Long House” with the former guest refectory and courtroom, as well as an atmospheric monastery garden, which was newly designed in 2004. On Saturday and Sunday our little town will be hosting the annual dog sled race event. Some mushers and their beautiful dogs have already arrived and I couldn't help taking a peek today :-). The conditions are perfect for this event: it is cold, and we still have oodles of snow. Have a guess what I'll be doing on Saturday and Sunday ;-)?!

Im Nebel
Eine Berglandschaft in den Alpen, malerisch und idyllisch zugleich. Der Morgennebel verzieht sich nur langsam. Es ist immer wieder schön, die Natur quasi aufzusaugen und sich auch inspirieren zu lasen.

A mountain landscape in the Alps, picturesque and idyllic at the same time. The morning fog is slow to clear. It's always nice to soak up nature and be inspired.
Das Schloss von Wolfsmünster im Tal der Fränkischen Saale wurde 1584 im Stil der Spätrenaissance von Philipp II. von Thüngen bzw. dessen Vater Albrecht erbaut. Die Fassade mit ihren Treppengiebeln wirkt sehr malerisch.

The castle of Wolfsmünster in the valley of the Franconian Saale was built in 1584 in the late Renaissance style by Philipp II of Thüngen and his father Albrecht. The facade with its stepped gabels looks very picturesque.

Der Fliegenpilz sticht wegen seiner auffallenden Färbung in Wäldern sofort ins Auge,er ist ein geradezu malerisch schöner Pilz, aber gleichzeitig für die meisten Menschen auch der Inbegriff des tödlichen Giftpilzes. Die Wirkung des Stoffes Muscimol ist vergleichbar einem Alkohol-Vollrausch. Doch zu allen Zeiten wurde der Pilz in erster Linie als halluzinogene Droge eingesetzt.
Meist kommt er vor, wo Fichten und Birken wachsen, mit ihnen lebt er in einer engen Symbiose.
The fly agaric immediately catches the eye in forests because of its striking coloring; it is an almost picturesquely beautiful mushroom, but at the same time for most people it is the epitome of the deadly poisonous mushroom. The effect of the substance muscimol is comparable to an alcohol intoxication. But at all times the mushroom has been used primarily as a hallucinogenic drug.
It usually occurs where spruce and birch trees grow; it lives in a close symbiosis with them.

Die Moritzburg präsentiert sich malerisch und verträumt im Sonnenuntergang.
Mit seinen markanten roten Kuppeldächern und der hellen Fassade dominiert das Schloss das Zentrum des Bildes. Die barocke Architektur des Schlosses spiegelt sich elegant im ruhigen Wasser des Großteichs wider. Der ruhige Sonnenuntergang zeigt sich in den sanften Blau- und Orangetönen des Himmels. Zarte Wolkenstreifen verleihen Der Großteich, der sich vor dem Schloss erstreckt, reflektiert die gesamte Szenerie und verstärkt die Symmetrie des Bildes. Die Spiegelung im Wasser schafft eine malerische und friedliche Atmosphäre. Der Weg zum schloss bildet mit den an dem Weg stehenden Bäumen eine führende Linie zum Eingang des Schlossen hin.
Es war traumhaft schon, dass Wetter und die Lichtverhältnisse waren fabelhaft, man konnte fast die alte Zeit spüren und die Ruhe des Abends genießen.

Moritzburg Castle presents itself picturesquely and dreamily in the sunset.
With its striking red domed roofs and bright façade, the castle dominates the centre of the picture. The baroque architecture of the castle is elegantly reflected in the calm waters of the large pond. The tranquil sunset is reflected in the soft blue and orange tones of the sky. Delicate streaks of cloud lend The large pond, which extends in front of the castle, reflects the entire scenery and reinforces the symmetry of the picture. The reflection in the water creates a picturesque and peaceful atmosphere. The path to the castle and the trees along the way form a leading line to the entrance of the castle.
The weather and lighting conditions were marvellous, you could almost feel the old days and enjoy the tranquillity of the evening.

Der Hubertussee im Berliner Grunewald entstand um 1900 im Zuge der Anlage der Villenkolonie Grunewald. Als künstlich geschaffenes Gewässer sollte er das exklusive Wohnumfeld aufwerten und fügt sich bis heute malerisch in die umgebende Parklandschaft ein. Umrahmt von alten Bäumen und historischen Villen, gilt der See als stilles Refugium in einer der nobelsten Wohngegenden Berlins.
Hubertussee in Berlin’s Grunewald district was created around 1900 as part of the development of the Grunewald villa colony. This artificial lake was designed to enhance the exclusivity of the residential area and still blends harmoniously into the surrounding park landscape. Framed by old trees and historic mansions, the lake remains a tranquil retreat in one of Berlin’s most prestigious neighborhoods.
Any landscape is a condition of the spirit.

*Früher Oktobermorgen in der Vulkaneifel*
Slowly moving fog at dawn and a long exposure time (here 30 seconds) can conjure up a painting from a completely insignificant landscape.
Langsam ziehender Nebel bei Morgenrot und eine lange Belichtungszeit (hier 30 Sekunden) können aus einer völlig belanglosen Landschaft ein Gemälde zaubern.
FRANCE - Provence ,
Bekannt ist der Ort vor allem durch seine ockerhaltige rote Erde, die als Rohstoff zur Herstellung von Farben verwendet wird. Hier bauten bereits die Römer, die das Dorf vicus russulus (rotes Dorf) nannten, Ocker ab. Roussillon war bis zum Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts Zentrum des Ockerabbaues, der bis 1930 noch betrieben wurde. Heute existiert nur noch eine Farbenfabrik zur Besichtigung (Ancienne Usine Mathieu). Ferner liegt am Ortsrand der Sentier des Ocres, der Ockerlehrpfad.
Die Weinberge im Umland von Roussillon gehören zur Appellation Côtes du Ventoux. Mehr als 120.000 Besucher jährlich und der Tourismus bestimmen heute das Leben der Gemeinde.
