Der kleine Fischerort Sant' Angelo ist ein Ortsteil der Serrara Fontana, einer der sechs Gemeinden auf der Insel Ischia. Er liegt sehr malerisch und ist auch bei Urlaubern sehr beliebt.
The small fishing village of Sant' Angelo is a hamlet of Serrara Fontana, one of the six municipalities on the island of Ischia. It has a very picturesque location and is also very popular with vacationers.
While visiting the village of Roussillon, situated close to the "Sentier d'Ocre", in Provence, we enjoyed the site of this this pretty cat,.

Der Fluss Fossá í Þjórsárdalrdal stürzt hier malerisch zwischen Basaltsäulen in zwei Arme gespalten etwa 20 m in die Tiefe.
Der Name heisst aus dem Isländischen übersetzt
"Hilfewasserfall".
The Fossá í Þjórsárdal crashes here picturesquely between basalt columns in two arms split about 20 m in depth.
The name is called from Icelandic translates to "Help waterfall".

Genau heute zum kalendarischen Sommeranfang kommt der Sommer tatsächlich, und das Wetter zeigt sich von seiner besten Seite - die Sonne scheint, + 30 C sind für morgen vorhergesagt :-) Klingt doch gut nach all den Regentagen, und die Sonnwendfeuer oben in den Bergen können am Wochenende brennen.

Nebenbei: Der Lac de Sainte-Croix wird ausschließlich vom Fluss Verdon gespeist. Unmittelbar nachdem er die malerisch-wilde Schlucht Gorges du Verdon durchflossen hat, ergießt sich der Verdon in den See. Am Übergang zwischen Schlucht und See spannt sich die Brücke Pont du Galetas über das Wasser. Auch die Umgebung ist idyllisch, die Hügel des Haut-Var und die Ebene von Valensole mit ihren Lavendelfeldern bilden eine reizvolle Kulisse.

Dieser Platz zieht mich immer wieder an – zu unterschiedlichen Tages- und Jahreszeiten. Auf einem Hügel hoch über dem Riegsee steht eine Feldkapelle aus dem 18. Jht. neben dem Mesnerhaus.
This place attracts me again and again - to different daytime and seasons. On a hill high above the Riegsee stands a small chapel from the 18th Century beside the sacristan's house.
On Tuesday of this week I once again couldn't get out of the Wittlich valley not far from home to capture a few morning moods with the camera.

Zur Zeit des Sonnenuntergangs wirkte der Ausflugsort an der Mosel besonders malerisch. Die Sonne selbst war wegen der Moselberge nicht mehr sichtbar, so dass nur noch indirektes Licht über dem Ort lag (06.07.2016, 21:35 Uhr)
At the time of sunset the excursion on the Moselle had a particularly picturesque. The sun itself was no longer visible because of the Moselle mountains , so that only indirect light above the place was (July 6, 2016)

Loket (deutsch Elbogen) ist eine Stadt im Okres Sokolov, Karlovarský kraj, in Tschechien. Die gesamte historische Altstadt steht als Denkmalsreservation unter besonderem staatlichen Schutz. Wegen seines Stadtbildes wurde Loket auch oft als Böhmisches Rothenburg gerühmt. Die Stadt ist ein traditionelles Ausflugsziel der Kurgäste von Karlsbad.

I am fascinated by what such a simple snowfall can do with a simple landscape. A walk in early April – with the typical change in weather from warm spring sunshine to bitter cold winter snow. Changeable. A little like painting.

This beautiful sunset we could enjoy in Porto Venere closed to La Spezia and Cinque Terre. It´s not so famous and overcrowded like Manarola or Vernazza but a visit there is definitely worth it!!
As of today, the borders to Italy are open for German tourists again, reason enough to show another picture of this beautiful country.

Lauris befindet sich im Süden des Départements Vaucluse im Tal der Durance.
Beim Besuch kommt man in ein malerisches Dorf mit verwinkelten Gassen, alten Häusern (16. und 17. Jh.) und schönen Hinterhöfen, was dem Dorf einen besonderen Charme verleiht. Sehenswert der Kirchturm der über einen der schönsten schmiedeeisernen Glockenaufsätze in der Region verfügt.
Hoch über dem Dorf thront das alte Schloss aus dem 18. Jh. Von seiner Terrasse, heute ein Restaurant, hat man einen weiten Blick in das Tal der Durance. Im Hof haben sich einige Künstler niedergelassen, die hier ihre Werke präsentieren. Von diesem Hof aus kann man über eine direkte Treppe in den Jardin Conservatoire des plantes tinctorales gehen. In ihm sind über 250 Pflanzenarten aus aller Welt. Aus ihnen werden pflanzliche Farben für Lebensmittel, Kosmetik usw. gewonnen.

Das malerisch auf einer Halbinsel mitten im Seeoner See gelegene ehemalige Benediktinerkloster wurde bereits im Jahr 994 erbaut, im Laufe der Jahrhunderte ständig erweitert und umgebaut. Heute gehört es dem Bezirk Oberbayern und wird als Kultur- und Bildungszentrum genutzt, sowie für Konzerte und Ausstellungen.
Seeon Abbey (German: Kloster Seeon) was a Benedictine monastery in Bavaria, Germany. It was founded in 994. The former monastery is on an island in the lake Seeoner See. Nowadays it is used as a cultural and educational centre, for concerts and exhibitions.

Another re-edit of an image that I'd taken during a trip to the Baltic Sea island Usedom several years ago. Duly slid for Sliders Sunday – you can find the almost SooC original upload in the first comment. In the original, un-cropped image the beach line is almost exactly in the middle, because I hadn't dared to get any closer to the person that was lying there so picturesquely (and, as an afterthought from pandemic times: perfectly socially distanced). And since I had been so far away the gulls are mere spots of white in the distance, but I think they are still easily identifiable as gulls, albeit pretty impressionistic – or even pointillistic – gulls ;)

Weiß – Blau – Gelb
Eine weitere Neubearbeitung eines Bildes von meinem Usedom-Urlaub vor etlichen Jahren (ein erneuter Ostsee-Trip ist also längst überfällig). Für den Sliders Sunday habe ich angemessen an den Reglern diverser Bildbearbeitungsprogramme (namentlich aus der Nik Collection) gedreht. Das praktisch unbearbeitete Bild findet Ihr im 1. Kommentar. Beim unbeschnittenen Originalbild war die Strandlinie ziemlich genau in der Mitte – und das war mir schon damals zu viel Strand gewesen. Dieses Mal habe ich nicht ganz so viel vom Strand weggeschnitten, aber immer noch ein gutes Stück. Auflösungsmäßig geben hier die 13,8 MP der kleinen Pen in Verbindung mit dem Lumix-Weitwinkel-Pancake nicht so viel her, ich hätte deutlich näher an die so malerisch zwischen den Buhnen drapierte Person herangehen müssen, hatte mich aber nicht getraut. Aus dieser Entfernung sind die Möwen dann auch nur noch weiße Punkte, aber ich denke, dass jeder trotzdem weiß, dass es sich nicht um expressionistisch (oder pointillistisch) hingetupfte Farbe, sondern um stets hungrige und freche Ostsee-Möwen handelt ;)

Für Reisende, Maler und Poeten waren um 1800 die malerisch über dem Neckar gelegenen Überreste von Schloss Heidelberg der Inbegriff einer romantischen Ruine. Steil über dem Talgrund am Nordhang des Königstuhls, inmitten grüner Wälder dominiert sie mit ihrer Silhouette das Bild der Altstadt von Heidelberg.

Keine Brücke weit und breit. Jedenfalls dort, wo ich das Foto im Winter gemacht habe ... Aber das Spazierengehen mit der Kamera, das hellt mein Gemüt immer wieder auf. Es gibt so viel zu entdecken ;-) Wie hier zum Beispiel die feinen Spuren, die die Spiegelung der Bäume und der Wolken im bewegten Wasser des Teiches hinterlässt. Psychedelisch inspirierend, oder? ;-)
