Jack is available for adoption in Northern Virginia, USA, through HART
Jack is a teenager, almost a year old, from our group of kittens from 2010. There's never a reason why some are not adopted when they are small. I've taken so many pictures of Jack but they are all bad. He scrunches up his eyes and keeps his ears at half mast when he's at adoption events. This is the best I've ever done. I sure hope he finds his home soon.
The New Zealand dotterel/tūturiwhatu is an endangered species found only in NZ. There are only about 1700 birds left. Loss of habitat and introduced predatory mammals are to blame for their decline in numbers. This male is displaying his breeding colours with his flushed chest feathers of rusty orange.
