This is mal, one of the barmen, and snooker player at the stanley.He's the only one who puts us above the other rooms and makes sure we're served.
I've been sorting through some of my older pics, taken while I was absent from Flickr, and will be posting some whenever I'm stuck for a new one :-D
The Brimstone has a most exquisite wing shape, perfectly matching a leaf when roosting overnight or hibernating within foliage. This is one of the few species that hibernates as an adult and, as such, spends the majority of its life as an adult butterfly.
The distribution of this species closely follows that of the larval foodplant (Buckthorn and Alder Buckthorn).
In England, where it is represented by the subspecies rhamni, it can be found south of a line from Cheshire in the west to South-east Yorkshire in the east, although vagrants may turn up in other areas.
Mal is clearly up to something... what could be in that bag? Some cigarettes? A cell phone? A pack of Lakerol licorice? You never know with that crazy Mal-io!

Ich hab ein 1. Klasse Upgrade in der deutschen Bahn bekommen! Warum? Vielleicht war es mein nicht als reserviert gekennzeichneter platz? Vielleicht mein charme? Evtl war es aber auch der zettel des schaffners auf dem stand: "schwerbehindert, autist" und die frage ob meine mutter angerufen hätte. Hab es mal verneint mit dem vorsichtigen hinweis kein autist zu sein, aber da konnte der schaffner wohl nicht mehr zurück.
